LOVED

LOVED "LOVED" is a contemporary analogue and digital gallery work about the passions of Charlie Hunter and Mike Wyeld.

LGBTQ people often find ourselves equal parts credited and accused of igniting social change – from civil rights to gentrification, it is easy to project polemic onto such a diverse group – a group who still rankle and illuminate the darkened corners of love. While myths of beauty and ideas around body shape, fitness, even obesity are hotly debated in mainstream culture, some people have found acc

eptance in new movements, formed new alliances and set in motion new ideas, they are "LOVED." Whilst we perform various versions of ourselves, beneath the surface there are shared anxieties and personal truths. LOVED is about looking at those emotions, about finding out what we are, and exploring the inter-sectional realities of our identities.

💥LOVED lands in Toronto!💥
3–23 August at The Red Head Gallery 🌹

We’re q***ring the space # and soundwaves again—this time with new sonic experiments, soft power, and radical tenderness around our responsibilities, our care for one another.
Bears are still there, masculinity and its objections central still. Proud to be collaborating with the fierce Throbbing Rose Collective + the legendary Red Head Gallery.
Sound, identity, and belonging—LOUDER, softer, messier than ever.
Come witness what q***r feels like when it listens back.
