Sandra Ainsley Gallery

Sandra Ainsley Gallery Over the past 30 years Sandra Ainsley Gallery has emerged as the leading dealer of contemporary glas

Since she established her first gallery in Hazelton Lanes in Toronto’s Yorkville area in 1984, Sandra Ainsley has developed and nurtured her passion for glass into a thriving and successful business. Sandra Ainsley Gallery expanded in 1989 to become the premier gallery in the financial district’s Exchange Tower. This location allowed Sandra to better meet the needs of both private clients and corp

orate clients with an impressive roster of international artists. The Exchange Tower space launch in 1989, and the 10th anniversary of Sandra Ainsley Gallery were both celebrated with Dale Chihuly exhibitions. Sandra Ainsley Gallery at The Distillery opened November 2002, with over 2000 people in attendance, and pioneered the largest exhibition by Dale Chihuly ever held in a private gallery. In September 2012, Sandra Ainsley Gallery relocated to an industrial warehouse in the Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton Ave area at 100 Sunrise Ave, Unit 150. With it’s 22 foot ceilings it is an ideal backdrop to show large scale sculpture.

We are pleased to introduce Danish artist Annett Biliczki to the gallery.

Biliczki’s work explores the quiet tension between fragility and strength. Her wall works strike a delicate balance between fluidity and precision, each reflecting a careful attention to light, texture, and form

A moment suspended between observation and introspection. With his signature blend of wit and refinement, Dan Dailey distills the human presence into simplified, almost theatrical form.

Join us this Saturday from 1–4 PM for the opening of our newest exhibition, featuring Venetian-inspired stemware by Canadian artist Charlie Larouche-Potvin.

Inspired by the rich traditions of Murano glassmaking, Charlie’s elegant goblets showcase remarkable craftsmanship, intricate detail, and a fresh contemporary perspective. We hope you can stop by to experience this beautiful new body of work.

We are mesmerized by our new sculpture by Czech artist Tomas Hlavicka. Tomas layers and cuts the glass with extraordinary precision, building a rhythmic, almost architectural pattern that radiates from the centre outward.

We are pleased to introduce Antoine Pierini to the gallery.

Born in France and trained in the Murano tradition of glassmaking, Pierini is internationally recognized for his sculptural works that unite bold color, refined craftsmanship, and architectural form. His practice bridges classical Venetian techniques with a distinctly contemporary language, resulting in works that feel both timeless and experimental.

Featured here is a sculpture from his Landmark Tree series, in which Pierini explores themes of growth, permanence, and memory through vertically carved glass forms. Each work stands as a quiet monument—organic, luminous, and deeply considered.

New arrival in the gallery
Woodcarver’s Totem by Preston Singletary.

This striking lead crystal totem features a pileated woodpecker at the top, followed by a human woodcarver at work, flanked by woodworms. At the base sits a beaver, complete with sapsuckers tucked into its ears. On the reverse, a little bear appears—busy tearing into fallen logs so the woodworms can move in.

A powerful celebration of storytelling, tradition, and transformation.
