Thought I’d share the process with getting a work like “Hours Beneath The Flowers” made
Most of my paintings get figured out in a day or few. THIS was not one of those works!

But I’m rather proud with how it came out, despite the crazy hours spent. But I’m telling you, if I had a swear jar I’d be jetting off first class to London and staying at the Savoy!

Well, it’s finally done. I’m guessing I clicked about/at least 70 hours to finish “Hours Beneath The Flowers” in time for

The dress is collaged from hand-painted wallpaper, further enhanced twenty of my ‘birds’. The rest of the work is acrylic paint and vinyl emulsion.

I’ve been wanting to compose an Alice In Wonderland-themed work for years. And knew I was going to add the white rabbit and a ‘pet’ dodo as well. The flowers were thematically & stylistically borrowed from my “Guardian” series of work.

“Hours Beneath The Flowers” will premier later this week in Booth 102, in the Other Art Fair in Chicago.

Life threw a pretty-big curve-ball at me last week.

I was surprised but also not surprised. I reacted sure, panicked a little, experienced a little ego-bruising. But others know I have a funny tendency to have the pity-party then just-as-quickly dust myself off and look forward. Sure, I’ll still look back and think ‘if only I did…’ but I always still look ahead.

So now I’ll focus on my two upcoming shows; the Chicago and the

But just as xciting, with the help of a good friend, I finally (finally) fixed my website. I got rid of much of the biographical stuff and fluff and cleaned, scrubbed and revamped its appearance and navigation.

Still a work in progress with several tweaks needing to be fixed but it’s getting there. And it now (finally) includes a shop to make the purchasing process more immediate and streamlined. Or rather will, once more details are set into place. But hey, change still takes time.
