I recently assisted a collector in acquiring works by several artists we vetted at Eran — and it transformed their space and collection. We selected the artists based on exhibition history and recent awards, handled the purchase securely, and delivered the piece within three weeks. The collection now serves as the focal point in their rooms. Interested in artwork with proven momentum? 🔸🔸About Artwork:

What distinguishes this work is the artist’s deliberate and bold choice of a red ground. This chromatic decision intensifies both the visual tension and the movement’s dynamism within the composition. Red operates here as a semantically ambivalent sign: on the one hand, it signifies vitality, energy, and the eruption of life force; on the other, it evokes danger, violence, and anxiety.
🔸This duality becomes intricately intertwined with the work’s tense, fluid forms, generating a heightened perceptual experience in which the viewer is suspended between the impulse of life and the threat of unrest.

🔸🔸About Artwork:

In this work, movement serves as the central generator of meaning. Instead of following a linear narrative, movement appears as continuous rotation and cyclical circulation. The circular brushstrokes dissolve the horse’s figure into a fluid field of forces—a flow without a clear origin or endpoint—highlighting a process of becoming rather than a simple transition from one point to another.

🔸The horse is not shown galloping forward; instead, it revolves within a dynamic field of tension. This compressed, inward, and charged movement goes beyond mere visual representation, transforming into a perceptual and bodily experience for the viewer.

🔸🔸About Artwork:

At the semiotic level, the work is designed to suspend direct signification. The figure of the horse—long recognized in Iranian visual tradition as a symbol of power, movement, nobility, and historical dynamism—appears not as a complete representation, but rather as a “trace of a sign.”

🔸From a phenomenological perspective, this suspension of signification changes how the work is perceived. Instead of recognizing an object, perception is shaped through an experiential encounter. The figure does not convey “what it is,” but instead focuses on “what is happening.” As a result, the work shifts away from representation toward producing an embodied, intuitive, and pre-linguistic experience—one in which meaning is not predefined but emerges in the moment of encounter.

🔸🔸About Artwork:

In this work, the artist omits the horses’ complete forms and emphasizes signs of movement. Also, by connecting two horses with a single bridle, the artist articulates a concept of connection or confrontation between dynamic forces. This bond is not necessarily calm; rather, it is unstable and charged with tension. As a result, the work transcends mere representation and becomes a contemplative, introspective experience.

🔸By eliminating certain representational elements and focusing on movement and rhythm, Azadnia creates a piece that is perceived not just visually, but also experienced on a sensory and intuitive level.

🔸🔸About Artwork:

Mahmoud Azadnia’s work offers a contemporary reinterpretation of an ancient symbol, departing from traditional methods of representation. On a semiotic level, it moves beyond mere representation to convey deeper meanings. Aesthetically, it provides an introspective and intuitive experience of beauty. Instead of depicting the horse as an active agent in motion, Azadnia portrays it as a suspended and contemplative presence that embodies a state of “being.”

🔸Azadnia’s work does not present meaning directly; rather, it defers meaning, emphasizing sensory perception over rational interpretation. This approach aligns with a phenomenological experience. By deliberately avoiding explicit narratives and removing recognizable temporal and spatial markers, the artwork encourages viewers to suspend their preconceived notions about the horse, movement, and nature. This transformation turns the artwork into a space for reflection on presence itself.

The Lust For Levitation | 2021
Mixed Media on Canvas
47 1/5 × 47 1/5 in | 120 × 120 cm
Unique

🔸🔸About Artwork:

The title of the work serves not as a description of the image but as a key to understanding it. It expresses a continuous yearning for suspension and a detachment from text, and definitive meanings.

🔸In a semiotic interpretation, the lines function like signs that have detached from their linguistic foundation, floating in this suspended state. The cracked and heavy texture of the surface suggests the force of gravity, while the fluid movement of the lines conveys an ongoing desire for elevation and liberation.

This series is the story of a great lust.
the lust for being human.
It is the story of the recognition and accreditation of human lusts.
All lusts! It doesn’t matter whether those lusts are considered bad or ugly by others or lusts that others consider good.
It doesn’t matter what others think, the important thing is that I love all my lusts.
I am a human being.

🔸Mohammad Bozorgi (b. 1978) is a visual artist whose work encompasses painting, sculpture, and design. He draws on the aesthetic foundations of Islamic art, integrating geometric precision, symmetry, and an architectural approach to calligraphy to create visually complex yet meaningfully faithful pieces.

🔸By innovatively manipulating traditional scripts, Bozorgi transforms calligraphy into dynamic compositions that resonate with abstract and even pop-art sensibilities. His meticulously structured forms generate rhythmic movements of text, evoking natural cycles that radiate from and return to a central point. Utilizing principles of geometry, he creates illusions of motion, depth, and spatial expansion, ultimately pushing the boundaries of calligraphy beyond its conventional plane.
