Have you accepted your offer to study at OCAD University, starting in September 2021? Congrats and welcome! All new/first-year undergraduate students are asked to participate in our unique OCAD U tradition, "face2face: virtual exhibition". Introduce yourself to our community. Create a self-portrait and show us who you are. Let's meet face-2-face! HOW:
> Draw, paint, collage, photography, video, an

imation... or other!
> Photograph or scan your work... or create it digitally!
> Make it a literal likeness or a metaphorical representation!
> Have fun! Play around with the idea of your self-image.
> Express your own unique style.
> How would you like to be seen?
> Be modest, outrageous, fanciful, or elegant! FORMAT/SIZING
Digital Self-portraits:
Landscape: 1080 x 608 pixels
Square: 1080 x 1080 pixels
Portrait: 1080 x 1350 pixels
Resolution: 72 dpi

Animation or video:
Instagram supports an aspect ratio of 1.91: 1 to 4:5 for all feed videos. Your video or animation can be no less than 3 seconds and no more than 60 seconds. Do not use copyright-protected images/graphics or music. WHERE

ENTRY DEADLINES & PRIZES
Early Bird Deadline:
Send us your self-portrait by 11:59 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2021, for a chance to win an Above Ground Art Supplies gift bag. Final Deadline:
All self-portraits received by the final submission deadline of 11:59 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, will qualify for a chance to win a $125 Above Ground Art Supplies gift card*. We look forward to receiving yours!

#NEWtoOCADU Have you accepted your offer to study at OCAD University, starting in SEPTEMBER 2020? Congrats and welcome! #OCADU2024

This year, the annual face2face: postcard exhibition will be virtual. New undergraduate students are asked to participate in a unique OCAD U tradition and virtual exhibition. Introduce yourself to our community and let's meet face-2-face!

Create a self-portrait and show us who you are:

WHO All new/first-year undergrads are asked to participate.

HOW Draw, paint, collage, photography, video, animation... or other! Photograph or scan your work... or create it digitally! Make it a literal likeness or a metaphorical representation! Have fun! Play around with the idea of your self-image. Express your own unique style. How would you like to be seen? Be modest, outrageous, fanciful, or elegant!

FORMAT/SIZING

Self-portraits:

Landscape: 1080 x 608 pixels

Square: 1080 x 1080 pixels

Portrait: 1080 x 1350 pixels

Resolution: 72 dpi

Animation or video:

Send us your self-portrait by 11:59 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2020, for a chance to win the Early Bird Prize, an Above Ground Art Supplies gift bag (can be mailed to recipient)!

All self-portraits received by the final submission deadline of 11:59 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2020, will qualify for a chance to win one of two additional prizes*:

Runner Up: an Above Ground Art Supplies gift bag (can be mailed to recipient). Grand Prize: an Above Ground Art Supplies $125 gift card (can be mailed to recipient).
