Little Wonders:
Join new parents and caregivers for an eight-week ROMKids program designed for babies under two. Each week invites little learners into the Museum for a gentle, sensory-rich experience that supports early literacy, visual exploration, and tactile discovery.

Junior: Tiny Tots
Bring your child (ages 2 - 4) on an eight-week sensory adventure as you tour galleries with our early learning instructors, and join them in creative play-based activities, and social interaction in a classroom setting. Meet other parents, caregivers, and children and engage your child in interactive learning for life.

Saturday Club:
This Saturday version of our popular Summer Club program provides supervised, hands-on educational activities, art projects, science experiments, and more. ROM’s fascinating galleries, authentic objects and outstanding professional staff guarantee that your camp experience will be hard to beat! Every fall, winter and spring children (ages 5 - 14) will enjoy eight Saturdays of fun-filled, educational adventures in ROM’s inspiring galleries.

(If your child is 4 years old, they must be turning 5 in the calendar year on the first day of camp to register.)

What do Alice in Wonderland, Toadstool from Super Mario Brothers and the mushroom emoji 🍄 have in common?

They all use the "iconic mushroom" Amanita muscaria, AKA fly agaric as their reference point.

While we appreciate its beauty this Day, please remember that Amanita muscaria is a poisonous mushroom, and many closely related and easily confused species can kill a person when eaten.

You can see this fabulous fungi on display at Psychedelics: Art. Culture. Science. on now through December 6, 2026.

Exhibition extended to run through October 29, 2026.

Stolen Childhoods presents the lived experiences of children at the Mohawk Institute, the longest-running Indian Residential School in Canada, located just 100 km from downtown Toronto in Brantford, Ontario.

Rooted in Survivor Truths and community knowledge, this exhibition centres Indigenous voices and the intergenerational impacts that continue today.

Stolen Childhoods was created by the Survivors’ Secretariat with support from Know History and funding from the Museums Assistance Program (MAP).

Please note: ROM always offers free admission, including surcharged exhibitions, to all Indigenous Peoples.

Have you seen these colourful tiles at ROM? They contain Korean words that hold knowledge and insights collected from people across Ontario.

At public workshops, hundreds of participants decorated their words in Hangeul (the Korean writing system), and artist Ik-joong Kang arranged their contributions into this vibrant mosaic. Kang added the outlines of traditional Korean porcelain vessels, linking everyday ideas to representations of balance, harmony, and history.

For , we’re pleased to announce the return of Wildlife Photographer of the Year on Nov. 07!

Audun Rikardsen (Norway) depicts a polar bear from a seal’s perspective as it gazes down a breathing hole in the Arctic sea ice.
When Audun spotted polar bear tracks close to a seal hole, he drilled an adjacent hole for his underwater camera and connected it to a motion sensor on the ice above. After eight hours, the polar bear approached and looked down.

With a diet largely dependent on seals, polar bears spend much of their time searching for breathing holes and waiting for prey to surface. In areas where sea ice melts completely each summer, they are forced to spend several months on land, surviving on their stored fat reserves.

How do psychedelics impact the brain?

There are a few leading theories, and Dr. Manoj Doss (Associate Professor, The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School) explores one of them here.

Psychedelics may stimulate connections across neurons, changing how brain networks communicate. Some scientists believe this contributes to new ways of thinking, seeing, and feeling.

A livestream of the Permanent Peoples' Tribunal final verdict starting at 9:30am in Eaton Theatre, followed by remarks from the prosecutorial team, witnesses, Survivors, and Survivors' Secretariat.

Activations in Currelly Gallery from 10am- 3pm where visitors can learn more about this significant day, pick up resources and create an orange shirt day pin to wear.
