SubLunar Centre for Community Arts

SubLunar Centre for Community Arts A liberated space for art, music, community and expression organized by the not-for-profit SubLunar C

A project by the SubLunar Community Arts Society, the SubLunar Centre for Community Arts is a space that serves as a Community Arts Center, Gallery, and office for our not-for-profit society. SubLunar Community Arts Society's main objective is to address the issue of social isolation by encouraging community participation in art and cultural activities. A departure from "high art" or academic art,

our projects are meant to be accessible for ordinary people to co-create and participate. Installation art, electronic music, theatre, murals, underground and street art. By inviting our members and the community to participate in our projects, individuals form social ties and a stronger sense of community and belonging is fostered. Our project operates through a combination of volunteer work, and fair wages for artists, in order to provide a platform for artists to sustain themselves. Stay tuned here for more info as we gradually develop our programming.
