It's that time of year again! We are recruiting for the 2023 NATIVE YOUTH PROGRAM!

Requirements: Applicants must be Indigenous students enrolled in school. Grade 12 or graduating students are welcome to apply. Applicants must have a Social Insurance Number or SIN Card.

Details: Full-time employment starts Tuesday, July 4, 2023 to Friday, August 18, 2023. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Rate of pay: $15.66 per hour.

How to apply: Please submit a letter stating why you are interested in participating in the Native Youth Program and a current resume. Also, complete and submit one of the required assignments which involves visiting the museum or writing an essay about an Indigenous issue that is important to you. This year, we are celebrating 43 years of the Native Youth Program at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. To commemorate the accomplishments of four decades of NYP participants, we are launching the NYP Alumni Network! The NYP Alumni Network will provide multigenerational resources and connections for our NYP Alumni, as well as updates on future events and reunions. We want to celebrate you and your accomplishments by bringing together generations of Indigenous leaders and professionals who have the shared experience of participating in the Native Youth Program.
