Wells Works is our annual art show featuring the works of friends from the Wells/Barkerville/Bowron area.

We're taking submissions now! All ages and abilities.

DEADLINE EXTENDED - IMA Call For Submissions

A huge thank you to everyone that has submitted an exhibition proposal!
We're extending our gallery call for submissions to Oct 22nd! One more week to get those ideas in!

The IMA gallery is located in the town of Wells, BC on Lhtako Dene territory. This is a traditional land use area of the Dakelh and Secwepemc people. Rich in history and strongly influenced by generations of artists, IMA has been honoured to provide a gallery space for both emerging and established artists.

We are hoping that our 2027 Gallery programming will feature a mix of artists that have been supported by IMA in the past, as well as new friends. Regional and Northern Artists will receive particular consideration.

If applying to the IMA gallery interests you, the provided gallery space has 12 foot high walls, and a total of 75 linear feet of wall space.

WORKSHOP ANNOUNCE: Plein air Drawing with Karine Locatelli

Join us for a contemplative experience in nature with this 1-hour workshop of plein air drawing with gallery artist Karine Locatelli.
Using fountain pen, ink, canvas or paper in the style of the visual artist Karine Locatelli, this workshop focuses on details, textures, patterns and botanicals.

Register in advance, Pay-what-you-can, suggested $25, with access to work in the IMA studios for the rest of the afternoon.
