Invitation: River of Voices Ceremonial Opening – March 22, 2026

UBC Okanagan, the Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA), and the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan (ARTSCO) warmly invite you to the ceremonial opening of River of Voices.

📍 Rotary Centre for the Arts Atrium, 421 Cawston St, Kelowna

This outdoor public art experience brings together light, sound, digital media, and Indigenous storytelling in the heart of Kelowna’s Cultural District. The installation features digitized paintings by Syilx artist David Wilson projected along the Light Up Kelowna ArtWalk, alongside a video installation on the Light Up Kelowna Urban Screen at the Kelowna Community Theatre.

Audio recordings from Syilx Knowledge Keepers and community voices share teachings and reflections on the relationship between land, water, and community.

We are happy to announce this year we will be open on BC family day to celebrate Heritage week! So come on by February 16, 2026 (Monday) from 11:00am - 4:00pm! We will have tea and storytelling by our one and only, Coralee Miller ❤🤩
