Frame Arts Warehouse
Frame arts Warehouse is the first “Frame Project”. Frame Arts Warehouse offers individual studio space, mixed-use rentals and a currently DIY art gallery. We support persons and organizations interested in promoting arts in the community and as a transformative method of expression. With over 25 studio spaces in over 40,000 square feet, and 3 multi-use and gallery spaces, Fra
me has transformed a 5-story sewing factory into a lively, creative hub for exploration and collaboration in the arts. Email [email protected] to join our email list and find out about our weekly programming and events. Why We Are
The motivation behind Frame, Frame Arts Warehouse and future Frame Projects, is to see the Arts become accessible to all people, at any point in their life, at any time in their career. Frame sees art as a means of community-building and recognizes it’s capacity to transform people’s lives when approached as an opportunity self-expression and discovery. Frame’s vision for any Frame Project is to provide the space for collaboration between disciplines and provide a safe-space for taking risks in their practices. Where We Are Going
The Arts Warehouse on Ross Ave is still in a transition stage. 318 Ross Ave aims to have over 30 live/work residential units, a shared work-space for new media and self employed persons in the arts, as well as an art gallery, community-arts programming and a performance venue by 2015. When this project has finished, we look forward to taking the show on the road, and continuing to provide affordable studio space for emerging artists and established artists, and continued work with investors and organizations to help create an “urban arts island” in downtown Winnipeg.
