Calling all Yarmouth County artists!
People’s Choice Exhibit
From November 7 to December 19 we will have an exhibit at the Museum that will be crafted of the Top 3 entries in the People’s Choice contest. Voting will be done on our Museum page from October 20 - 31.

Artists can now submit until October 17 one photo of one piece of their work to be included in the People’s Choice contest. Photos must be in jpeg format. Submissions can be sent to [email protected].

Note: We are only accepting photos of the art pieces at this time, please DO NOT drop off any pieces at the Museum
We accept all kinds of artistic mediums, including, paintings, photography, crafts, poetry, etc.

Note: Winning artists will be responsible for the delivery and pick-up of their pieces. Each contest winner will receive one wall in our Education Wing to exhibit their pieces.

This unique evening will include: a costume contest (with prizes), food, spooky board games, ghostly stories, teller of fortune, a creepy items exhibit, a frightful mini escape room and much more!

The Inheritance! A spooky murder mystery event
October 16 & 17, 2026 at 6pm at the Yarmouth County Museum
As people gather for the reading of a will, the night takes a dark turn no one could have predicted. There has been a murder right under your eyes.... how could this have happened? Can you uncover the truth? What has actually taken place in this terrifying mansion?

$50/person (Advanced registration required)
Registration is now open by calling the Museum at 902-742-5539 (ask for Lisette). Participants can choose between two nights and to be either a "character" who will help move the story along or an "observer" who gets to watch the mystery unfold, with both roles trying to solve it

Mystery at the Museum: Ghosts of the Past
Available September 19, September 22-26 and 29-30 during regular Museum hours (Tuesday - Saturday, 9am - 5pm, Note: not available between 12pm - 1pm daily)

An interactive mystery where you search for clues among the exhibits
A ghostly mystery is afoot in the Museum and we need your help to solve it!
Search for clues, solve puzzles and determine what happened!

$10.00/person.
No advanced booking required. No group limit.
