Our Story

Sloan Fine Art exhibits highly skilled emerging, mid-career and established artists creating emotionally compelling, thought-provoking work. Alix Sloan opened SFA on the Lower East Side of New York City in January 2008. Over the subsequent four years, the gallery mounted dozens of successful group and solo exhibitions in its 1200 square foot location and participated in several art fairs. At the end of 2011, facing a significant rent hike, and understanding that the art world is in a state of transition, Sloan closed the gallery’s Rivington Street location to explore the alternative approach of operating as a nomadic gallery and consulting firm. Since then, the gallery has mounted numerous pop up and collaborative exhibitions across the US while participating in select art fairs. You can find us online at SloanFineArt.com & Artsy.net.
