Forza Silenziosa | Sofia Cacciapaglia

Suspended between memory and imagination, Sofia Cacciapaglia’s female figures seem to drift beyond time.

Painted in acrylic on cardboard, these faces emerge with quiet presence. Their closed eyes, delicate expressions and gentle movement invite a moment of contemplation, as if each figure carried its own inner world.

Last week, our gallery hosted a dinner in partnership with Mare & Monti, in the presence of Sofia Cacciapaglia, around the exhibition “Forza Silenziosa”.

In this intimate and refined atmosphere, Sofia Cacciapaglia’s works inhabited the space with softness and elegance. Her delicate, silent feminine silhouettes brought a deeply sensitive presence to the evening.

Works designed to live within an interior, bringing soul, subtlety, and an emotion that gently accompanies everyday life.

White Cedar by Nicolas Muller

White Cedar explores the tension between structure and organic growth. Situated between drawing and maquette, the series presents a white cedar, or thuja, partially obscured by concrete blocks evoking perimeter walls and urban architecture. At times erased, at times visible, the tree appears to resist this system of separation.

The contrast between the fragility of Japanese handmade paper and the density of concrete, combined with the variations inherent in the transfer process, gives each work a presence that feels both raw and spectral.

Off-Frame News: Nicolas Muller – White Cedar

White Cedar explores the tension between architectural rigidity and natural growth. Through concrete structures evoking prison walls and urban architecture, a white cedar appears, disappears, or resists. Between the fragility of Japanese paper, the density of concrete, and spectral transfer prints, the series questions ideas of separation, control, and organic momentum.

Meet Sofia Cacciapaglia!

Born in 1983 in Ponte dell’Olio, Italy, Sofia Cacciapaglia is a Milan-based artist whose work focuses on the representation of women through large-scale oil paintings of dreamlike, suspended figures in metaphysical worlds beyond reality.

Her practice often includes floral imagery and the use of cardboard and paper, which she transforms into pictorial surfaces, giving discarded materials a second life. Her work explores femininity, nature, and transformation through soft, luminous compositions.
