(DE) 67 Fotos werden zurzeit im HAUS DER FOTOGRAFIE ausgestellt – aufgenommen während Sebastians Skiexpeditionen in die Eiswelten Grönlands. Jedes Bild erzählt von Durchhalten, Naturgewalten, intensiven Begegnungen und prägenden Momenten.

Möchtest du in diese Geschichten eintauchen? Dann besuche eine unserer öffentlichen Führungen. Die erste findet am Sonntag, 3. Mai, um 14:30 Uhr statt. Weitere Daten werden laufend auf unserer Webseite veröffentlicht, Tickets sind dort direkt erhältlich.

Private Führungen für Gruppen, Firmen oder Schulen sind ebenfalls möglich – auch ausserhalb der regulären Öffnungszeiten. Anmeldung über das Formular auf unserer Webseite.

(EN) 67 photographs are currently on display at the HAUS DER FOTOGRAFIE – all taken during Sebastian’s ski expeditions into the icy landscapes of Greenland. Each image tells a story of endurance, the forces of nature, intense encounters, and defining moments.

Would you like to immerse yourself in the stories behind the images? Then join one of our public guided tours. The first takes place on Sunday, May 3, at 2:30 PM. Additional dates will be published on our website on an ongoing basis, where tickets can also be purchased directly.

THE VANISHING NORTH

THE LAST GENERATION ON ICE

(DE) Diesen Eisberg – THE VANISHING NORTH – entdeckte Copeland zufällig, nachdem er Grönland auf Skiern und mit Zugdrachen 2’300 km durchquert und den Inughuit-Ort Qaanaaq erreichte.

42 Tage auf dem Eis, erschöpft – und doch trieb ihn etwas weiter. Er griff nach seiner Kamera und machte sich erneut auf das brüchige Eis. Was ihn erwartete, war eine fotografische Erfahrung, die ihn nachhaltig prägte und die er so nie wieder in dieser Form erleben sollte. Sein ganz persönliches Carpe Diem!

Komm mit auf eine Reise in den hohen Norden.

(EN) Copeland discovered this iceberg – THE VANISHING NORTH – by chance after crossing 2,300 km of Greenland on skis and with kite assistance, eventually reaching the Inughuit settlement of Qaanaaq.

42 days on the ice, exhausted – and yet something pushed him on. He picked up his camera and ventured back onto the fragile ice.
What awaited him was a photographic experience that left a lasting mark – one he would never encounter again in quite the same way. His very own carpe diem.

5 JAHRE I 5 YEARS
HAUS DER FOTOGRAFIE

(DE) Wir feiern 5 Jahre IPFO HAUS DER FOTOGRAFIE – und zwar mit einem neuen Teamfoto! Diese fünf Menschen ziehen im Hintergrund die Fäden, entwickeln Ideen, treffen Entscheidungen und prägen das Haus jeden Tag aufs Neue. Das ist das Geschàftsleitungsteam hinter dem IPFO HAUS DER FOTOGRAFIE (v. l. n. r.):

(DE) Am Freitag haben wir im Rahmen einer Vernissage die neue Ausstellung GREENLAND: THE LAST GENERATION ON ICE von Sebastian Copeland im Haus der Fotografie eröffnet. Mit über 180 Gästen war das Haus rappelvoll – Politik, Presse, Fotografiebranche und die IPFO Family lauschten gespannt den eindrucksvollen Geschichten des Künstlers und liessen die Fotografien auf sich wirken.

Diese Begeisterung setzte sich direkt fort: Bereits an den ersten beiden Ausstellungstagen durften wir über 100 Besucher:innen begrüssen.

Erlebe auch du die Schönheit und Dimensionen Grönlands jetzt in Olten – im IPFO Haus der Fotografie!

(EN) On Friday, we opened the new exhibition GREENLAND: THE LAST GENERATION ON ICE by Sebastian Copeland at the IPFO House of Photography with a vernissage. With over 180 guests, the venue was packed - with representatives from politics, the media, the photography industry, and the IPFO family all listening intently to the artist’s powerful stories while taking in the photographs.

The enthusiasm continued right away: in the first two days of the exhibition, we already welcomed over 100 visitors.

(DE) Auch über die Ostertage hinweg waren wir voller Energie im Haus der Fotografie. Mit viel Leidenschaft haben wir gemessen, gemalt, gebohrt und gehöngt, bis jedes Detail seinen Platz gefunden hat.

Jetzt ist es so weit: Eine beeindruckende Ausstellung isr entstanden - mit kraftvollen Fotografien aus der eisigen Welt Grönlands, die unter die Haut gehen.
