Love and Poetry by Anne-Lise Coste
(*1973 Marignane, lives in Paris)

A discarded door, sprayed with black hearts and sweeping “L”s — the middle initial of her name. L O V E, written once, aerosol still lingering in the air. Text and writing run through everything she makes; so does her instinct to work beyond the canvas, on found and cast-off materials.

In the hallway: Poème, a neon work cast from her own handwriting, adding a soft but powerful ending for the exhibition.

Kunst ist eine körperliche Aktivität 🦉


In diesem Ausschnitt ihres Artist Talks während Maison – Voyage – Paysage Anfang dieses Jahres bringt Rachel Lumsden die immense Körperlichkeit ihrer Praxis auf den Punkt. Für sie ist die Leinwand nicht einfach nur eine Fläche, sondern ein Raum, der Bewegung einfordert. Die ausladenden Gesten – das Auftragen und das energische Wegschrubben der Farbe – sind genau der Grund, warum sie in solch monumentalen Formaten arbeiten muss.

Diese unbestreitbare physische Präsenz und Energie können Sie hautnah in der aktuellen Ausstellung Fragments of Narration erleben, wo derzeit zwei ihrer grossformatigen Werke ausgestellt sind.

Anna Krammig spricht darüber, wie aus flüchtigen Erinnerungen Kunst wird. ✨

In diesem Clip erklärt sie, wie sie Fotos als emotionale Stützen nutzt und ihnen durch die Malerei eine neue, tiefere Ebene verleiht. Sie verwandelt alltägliche Schnappschüsse in offene „Bühnen“ – Räume, die euch als Betrachter dazu einladen, eure eigenen Erfahrungen und Geschichten darin widergespiegelt zu sehen.

Extended until 9 May! 🪡

Absence of bodies becomes particularly visible in the sculpture Amplification. A person is indicated solely by two fringed epaulettes attached to two symmetrically arranged rails. Fringed epaulettes typically elevate a male figure into a specific social position; for women, these shoulder pieces are primarily used as striking fashion accessories. This work is a reference to Pini’s exhibition at the Museo Vincenzo Vela , where she engaged with a major work by Vela: an imposing equestrian statue of Charles II, Duke of Brunswick, using it as a starting point to reflect on symbolism, mutability, masculinity and materiality.
