Beipiao Pterosaur Museum of China Public Muesum Beipiao Pterosaur Museum of China (BPMC) is currently the only pterosaur-themed museum in China.

It is a modern museum that aims at promoting palaeontology through exhibition, collection, research and education. It is the base for teaching practice of the Key Laboratory of Stratigraphy and Palaeontology, Ministry of Natural Resources of PRC. BPMC is situated at No. 84 Huanghe Road of Beipiao, Liaoning, in the same building as Beipiao Museum (a history and culture museum). BPMC has a total are

a of 5990 ㎡, a construction area of 4774 ㎡, and an exhibition area of 3000 ㎡ It has two exhibition halls, which are the “Pterosaur Hall” and “Jehol Biota Hall”. BPMC mostly focuses on pterosaur fossils, as well as the fossils of “Yanliao Biota” and “Jehol Biota”, with ~3600 specimens in the collection. These include ~600 pterosaur specimens, and ~3000 specimens of other taxa (including birds, mammals, fishes, non-pterosaur reptiles, insects, plants). It houses a number of holotype specimens, such as Pangupterus liui, Nurhachius luei and Sinobaatar pani etc..
