Dann fehlt vielleicht noch das gewisse „Igitt!“: eine offene Wunde, eine fiese Beule oder sogar eine richtig schön eklige Eiterpustel? 😱

Am 14. Oktober zeigen euch Sabine und Andreas Florian aus Sömmerda, wie das geht! Beide sind seit Jahren in der Bodypainting-Szene aktiv – in Deutschland und international – und echte Profis für Special-FX-Makeup und Silikonprothesen.

Von 13 bis 18 Uhr könnt ihr in der Rankestraße 5 lernen, wie man Silikon-Accessoires herstellt, am Körper anbringt und realistisch schminkt. Und das Beste: Jedes Kind bekommt selbst ein Silikon-Accessoire passend zu Halloween und darf es gestalten! 🩸🧟

Have you already got your Halloween costume? 🧟‍♀️🧛‍♂️
Then maybe it just needs that extra “Ewww!”: an open wound, a nasty lump, or even a really gross pus-filled boil? 😱

On October 14, Sabine and Andreas Florian from Sömmerda will show you how it’s done! Both have been active in the bod ypainting scene for years – in Germany and internationally – and are real experts in SFX makeup and silicone prosthetics.

From 1–6 pm at Rankestraße 5, you’ll learn how to make silicone accessories, apply them to the body and create a realistic makeup effect. And the best part: each child will get their own silicone accessory to decorate for Halloween! 🩸🧟

🍦👑 Die Kinderschlössertage kommen!

Am Sonntag, den 20. September, feiern wir die thüringenweiten Kinderschlössertage – und ganz nebenbei ist auch Weltkindertag!

Wie wurde vor 300 Jahren Eis für die königliche Tafel hergestellt? 🍨 Das könnt ihr in einem besonderen Workshop mit der großartigen Food-Historikerin und Food-Stylistin Tanya Harding entdecken. Kinder und Eltern lernen historische Eisrezepte kennen, stellen ihr eigenes Eis her – und dürfen es natürlich auch probieren!

Von 10:00 bis 16:30 Uhr könnt ihr den Künstlern Jörg Düsterwald, Sabine Florian und Gesine Marwedel dabei zuschauen, wie sie die Körper ihrer Modelle in lebendige Kunstwerke verwandeln – inspiriert von den Räumen und Sammlungen des Schlossmuseums.

Die Live-Performance findet im Rahmen unserer neuen Sonderausstellung „Natur auf der Haut. Die Kunst des Bodypaintings“ statt, die bereits am Samstag, den 12. September, um 18:00 Uhr eröffnet wird.

From 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, watch artists Jörg Düsterwald, Sabine Florian and Gesine Marwedel transform their models’ bodies into living works of art, inspired by the rooms and collections of the Palace Museum.

The live performance is part of our new special exhibition, “Nature on the Skin: The Art of Body Painting,” which opens on Saturday, September 12 at 6:00 pm.

🌿 Natur auf der Haut.
Die Kunst des Bodypaintings 🌿

Wir freuen uns sehr, die Eröffnung unserer nächsten Sonderausstellung am Samstag, den 12. September, um 18 Uhr anzukündigen!

Die Ausstellung präsentiert die Arbeiten von drei deutschen Bodypainting-Künstlern — Atelier Jörg Düsterwald, Sabine Florian und Gesine Marwedel — die den menschlichen Körper mithilfe leuchtender Farben, fantastischer Accessoires und einer sorgfältigen Inszenierung ihrer Modelle und deren Umgebung in ein Kunstwerk verwandeln.

✨ Alle drei Künstler werden bei der Eröffnung anwesend sein, um Eure Fragen zu beantworten und ihre Arbeiten zu präsentieren!

🎶 Für den musikalischen Rahmen des Abends sorgt nthirteen mit elektroakustischen Klangwelten aus Gitarre, Gesang, modularen Synthesizern und Samplern.

🥂 Für Erfrischungen sorgt der Freundeskreis des Schlossmuseums.

🌿 Nature on Skin: The Art of Body Painting 🌿

We are very excited to announce the opening of our next special exhibition on Saturday, September 12, at 6 pm!

The exhibition features the work of three German body painting artists — Atelier Jörg Düsterwald, Sabine Florian and Gesine Marwedel — who transform the human body into a work of art using brilliant colors, fantastic accessories, and the careful choreography of their models and surroundings.

✨ All three artists will be present at the opening to answer your questions and showcase their work!

🎶 Rounding out the evening will be music by nthirteen whose work consists of an electroacoustic soundscape created using guitar, vocals, modular synthesizers, and samplers.

🥂 Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Palace Museum.

Gestern war die Bodypainting-Künstler Sabine und Andreas Florian Sabine Florian zu Gast im Schlossmuseum Arnstadt, um ein beeindruckendes Objekt für die kommende Sonderausstellung „Natur auf der Haut. Die Kunst des Bodypaintings“ anzuliefern: ein Paar Flügel aus sage und schreibe 9.000 Federn! 🪽✨ Alles handgemacht!

Unsere Museumsdirektorin Gabriella Szalay half beim Aufbau tatkräftig mit. Denn damit die Flügel befestigt werden können, muss das Modell zunächst einen Rucksack anziehen.

Im kurzen Video am Ende erzählt Sabine Florian, wie diese bezaubernden Flügel entstanden sind. 💫

Schon bei der Ausstellungseröffnung am 12. September um 18 Uhr könnt ihr sie bewundern!

Yesterday, bodypainting artists Sabine and Andreas Florian Sabine Florian visited the Palace Museum in Arnstadt to deliver an impressive piece for the upcoming special exhibition “Nature on Skin: The Art of Bodypainting”: a pair of wings made from no fewer than 9,000 feathers! 🪽✨ And they’re entirely handmade!

Our museum director, Gabriella Szalay, also lent a hand with the installation. To attach the wings, the model first has to put on a special backpack that serves as the mounting system.

In the short video at the end, Sabine Florian explains how these enchanting wings were created. 💫

You’ll be able to admire them starting at opening of the exhibition on September 12 at 6 p.m.!

📸 Erinnerungen teilen – Geschichte lebendig halten

Alte Fotografien erzählen Geschichten. Manche Bilder sind bereits verblasst, die Momente darauf jedoch noch immer lebendig in unseren Erinnerungen.

Deshalb haben wir für kommenden Donnerstag eine besondere Veranstaltung ins Leben gerufen: „Erinnerungen aus der Schierholz-Manufaktur“. Gemeinsam möchten wir alte Fotografien betrachten, Geschichten austauschen und Erinnerungen bewahren.

Bringt eure Bilder mit, kommt mit anderen ins Gespräch und helft dabei, ein Stück gemeinsamer Geschichte sichtbar zu machen.

Bitte beachtet: Aufgrund der räumlichen Gegebenheiten ist die Zahl der verfügbaren Plätze begrenzt. Tickets können im Vorverkauf an der Museumskasse sowie in der Tourist-Information Arnstadt erworben werden. Ein frühzeitiger Ticketkauf wird empfohlen.

Old photographs tell stories. Some images may have faded over time, but the moments they capture remain vivid in our memories.

That’s why we have created a special event for next Thursday: “Memories from the Schierholz Manufactory.” Together, we will look through old photographs, share stories, and preserve memories for future generations.

Bring your photos, connect with others, and help keep a piece of our shared history alive.

Please note: Due to the size of the venue, the number of available places is limited. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the museum ticket desk and at the Tourist Information office. Early booking is recommended.

We look forward to seeing treasured photographs, hearing personal stories, and enjoying a lively exchange of memories.
