Everything is now in one place.

Hubbard.art is now home to both the gallery and shop, bringing together the full collection and the work behind Joseph Hubbard Photography.

No more separate sites — just one space to explore the images, follow ongoing projects, and shop the collection directly.

Prints, stories, and fieldwork all live together now, the way they were meant to.

It’s that time of year again…

Over the next few days, we should start seeing the first little ones stepping out of the den for the first time.

If you’re around the Main-Kinzig-Kreis area and notice a fox den becoming active, feel free to let me know — always interesting to see where they show up each year.

A small reminder of how quickly new life starts moving once spring really settles in.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the art shop over the past few days and took the time to share thoughtful feedback. Your insights mean a lot and truly help shape what I’m building here. Thank you.

Okay, this is kind of funny. I asked ChatGPT for a caricature.
Sony - Alpha Universe you might want to have a talk with OpenAI. Maybe it’s time to teach them what a Sony camera and lens actually looks like.

Still working on the shop at the moment.
Right now I’m putting my energy into finishing the main photography website.

If you’re curious, you’re welcome to take a look:

Once that’s finished, the shop will open back up.

For now, back to making fox photos.

For the moment, I’ve decided to temporarily remove checkout from the shop.

When I launched Hubbard.art, I did it with a small collection. I’d rather take a little time now to build it properly, expand the selection, and fine-tune pricing so everything feels complete and consistent.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be adding new work and updating the shop behind the scenes.
Checkout will return once everything is ready.

Thank you for being here and following along.

If you’ve been following me over on my photography page, you’ve probably noticed I’ve been posting a lot of beaver videos and photos lately 🦫

That project has taken up a huge amount of my time — and honestly, I’ve loved it.
But in a few weeks, it’ll naturally start to slow down as the weather changes and the season shifts.

On the other hand… I’ve also started doing digital artwork again.

I actually gave up drawing years ago because of hand injuries, so it’s been really nice to come back to it. Right now I’m working on artwork for shampoo bottle labels — something totally different, but it feels good to create in a new way again.

The smoothing tools help a lot with the shaking in my hands, but I’ll be real… since working on these pieces, the shaking has been getting worse. So I honestly don’t know yet if this is something I’ll keep doing long-term.

But I will finish the current set — and once the final drawings are done, I’ll share them with you all.

Thanks for being here and supporting everything I create

As the new year begins, a few changes are coming to Hubbard.art.

Over the years, I’ve taken many photos that I don’t feel are quite right to be displayed as wall art. Instead of letting them sit unseen, I’ve decided to offer some of these images as downloadable screensavers.

More to come over the next few days — but here’s one example to start.

Blue Silence — Kaunertal

Soft alpine light settles across the Kaunertal valley, where still water mirrors sky and mountain in quiet balance. Cool blue tones and layered slopes create a sense of calm, inviting the viewer into a moment of pause high in the Alps.

Captured above the Staudamm Kaunertal, this image reflects a rare stillness — a place where scale and silence coexist, and the landscape feels both vast and gentle. The reservoir holds the surrounding peaks in reflection, turning the scene into a quiet study of light, space, and presence.
