John Millei (*1958, Los Angeles) ist außerordentlicher Professor an der Kunstfakultät von Pasadena, der Claremont Graduate University und dem Southern California Institute of Architecture. Er ist einer der bekannten Vertreter des in den 1980er Jahren entstanden kalifornischen Abstraktionismus und bestritt zahlreiche Museumsausstellungen mit Hochkaräter*Innen wie Helen Frankenthaler, Hans Hofmannoder Ernst Wilhelm Nay. Seine Werke befinden sich in internationalen Sammlungen u.a. dem Centre Pompidou (Paris), LACMA Museum (Los Angeles) oder dem Museo Jumex (Mexiko City).
