Open Studio as part of Sellerie Weekend 🥬

Join us for an open studio during SELLERIE WEEKEND — Berlin’s off-program for project spaces running alongside Gallery Weekend.

Baustelle opens its doors with works in progress, recent pieces, and a chance to step into the space where things are still unfolding.

SELLERIE brings together project spaces across the city, offering a more intimate, less standardized way of experiencing Berlin’s art scene.

Come by, spend some time, and see what’s taking shape.

Vernissage 30. April 19-22h

Open 2. + 3. May from 14h-19h

What if the thing blocking your creativity isn’t a lack of good ideas—but mental clutter? Standing in our own way is one of the many pitfalls of creativity inclined humans.

We’re excited to announce a new Creative Coaching Workshop series at Studio Baustelle hosted by Tatyana Krimgold!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and a time to take stock of energy.

Join Tatyana, a certified Life Coach, for a very special 4-hour immersive workshop designed to help you clear internal debris, reconnect with your intuition, and create from a place that actually feels aligned. Through guided energy practices, mindfulness work, and facilitated processes, you’ll learn how to:

– clear mental and emotional blocks
– strengthen your inner direction
– practice personal energy hygiene
– access your own answers with clarity

This is a space to reset, reconnect, and make room for your creative vitality to thrive.

For tickets to the first workshop, follow link in bio 👀

First workshop takes place May 16th, 4pm to 8pm at Berthelsdorfer Str 11.

Curated by Camille Moreno

We’re delighted to announce that Studio Baustelle has been confirmed as an exhibitor for the 2026 edition of 48 Stunden Neukölln with the exhibition Going Feral.

The multimedia installation will explore wildness as a state of transgression and instability, where the line between domesticated and wild collapses and an ethical vacuum appears around bodies that no longer fit recognized categories — human and otherwise.

Hugsten ( and , two Studio Baustelle members) have a new release on the Chinese experimental label (tailnia.bandcamp.com). Check it out!

Stains, Dead silence - Negotiating noise with the non-living, and Gastkram (Ghost hug) are three pieces that capture Hugsten’s field recording, composition and performance practices. They are all attempts to give voice to discarnate entities, be it the non-living or the screams of sick patients.
The sounds in Stains were recorded entirely on a phone during a hospitalisation in an infection clinic, where we had to give up control over our body. Being isolated and immobilised we heard the screams of agony from other patients through the corridors.
Dead silence - Negotiating noise with the non-living, is a composition from field recordings in a Berlin cemetery turned park, the last part with contact mics on tomb stones. This was part of an investigation into how the non-living can be given a silent voice in the negotiation of noise in the park to establish sonic citizenship for them.
Gastkram investigates the non-resonating body of a tombstone from the park by using it as an instrument in a live performance, enhanced with modular voices and drones.

“One of the basic human requirements is the need to dwell, and one of the central human acts is the act of inhabiting, of connecting ourselves, however temporarily, with a place on the planet which belongs to us, and to which we belong. This is not, especially in the tumultuous present, an easy act (as is attested by the uninhabited and uninhabitable no-places in cities everywhere), and it requires help: we need allies in inhabitation.

Fortunately, we have at hand many allies, if only we call on them; other upright objects, from towers to chimneys to columns, stand in for us in sympathetic imitation of our own upright stance. Flowers and gardens serve as testimonials to our own care, and breezes loosely captured can connect us with the very edge of the infinite.” [Charles Moore, foreword to In Praise of Shadows, Junichiro Tanizaki, 1933]

We may not be able to raise the dead, but we can raise their voices.

Ani Samperi will give a remote talk this Sunday at Other-than-human, a .berlin event at .

Ani Samperi is a sound artist and experimental musician using the physicality of sound as a portal through which sound can speak via the wisdom of the body.

Sounding the Sublime: the Impossibility of Individuality in the World of Tactile Sound. This talk explores the idea of symbiosis between the listening body and sound installation as one resonating organism, and the fragility of individuality in the presence of that which is greater-than-human. In this encounter with the sublime, do we truly fear our own darkness, or the idea that our darkness may not be unique at all?

Available during our upcoming Other-Than-Human event at Studio Baustelle as part of Vorspiel:

We’re excited to share the soft launch of Bitchin’ Booch, an in-house kombucha collection created by Camille Moreno where every bottle carries the quiet work of culture.

Moreno has been tending to the SCOBY for months, providing care, attention, and a home. Meanwhile, the “mother” does the heavy-lifting.

Working in collaboration with bacteria, time, and numerous environmental factors, they move slowly, respond to one another, and pay attention to what emerges.

As The Other-than-Human event explores relationships beyond the human, this kombucha offers a small, otherworldly encounter: the taste of collaboration, the trace of non-human agency, and the slow unfolding of creation across species.
