Berlin is a city of constant friction, rebuilding, remembering, resisting. People arrive, drift, and reinvent themselves. Yet one question persists: What does it mean to be here?

HERE brings together photographers who examine presence, displacement, and the shifting urban landscape. Through analogue and digital practices, the works explore the fragile tension between belonging and estrangement.

The exhibition reveals Berlin in its contradictions, at once intimate and elusive. Photography becomes more than documentation; it becomes a way of positioning oneself within the city’s flux. A pause in motion. A question held in light:
Do we belong to the city, or are we merely passing through?

Davor Petričić - Album No. 1
An attempt to pause the dance of photons

Opening: February 21, 2026 at 6 pm.
Exhibition: February 22 to march 7 2026
At PAKD GALLERY BERLIN
An d. Mole 9, 10317 Berlin

In Album No. 1, Davor Petričić approaches photography as composition rather than documentation. The exhibition unfolds like an album, a sequence of images that behave like songs. They do not explain; they echo. Seeing becomes an act of listening, and sound returns as light.

Each photograph functions as an individual track: autonomous yet connected. Together, they form a visual rhythm that invites viewers to move through the exhibition intuitively, guided by mood, tempo, and resonance rather than linear meaning.

Petričić is a visual storyteller working across photography, cinematography, and film. Educated in photography and cinematography in Zagreb, Croatia, his career spans award-winning documentaries, drama series, feature films, music videos, television productions, and major international events, including the Olympic Games, world football championships, and music festivals. His work has taken him from ice caves and deserted lighthouses to Caribbean beaches, as well as into encounters with presidents, bishops, and mummies.

Outside commissioned projects, Petričić turns his camera toward personal visual mementos. Traveling through Italy, Iceland, France, South Africa, London, and various coastlines and cityscapes, he captures moments wherever he happens to stop, framing fleeting impressions that later assemble into quiet, rhythmic constellations.
