Fluxus from the Archivio Conz Collection

Drawn from the renowned Archivio Conz collection in Berlin, the exhibition presents works from one of the most extensive collections of Fluxus, concrete poetry, and Lettrism, assembled over four decades by Italian collector and publisher Francesco Conz.

Artists include George Brecht, Alison Knowles, Nam June Paik, Ben Vautier, Robert Watts, Emmett Williams, and Henri Chopin.

In two days, La musique visible opens at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in France.

Works from our collection explore Fluxus and concrete poetry through music, notation, and performance.

A dialogue unfolds between the Embassy’s hôtel particulier — formerly the home of composer Ernest Chausson — and the visual music of Walter Marchetti.

Last week, our team had the privilege of visiting Lithuania, where we met inspiring fluxus people and explored meaningful connections.

During our visit, we had deep and valuable discussions about the connection between Fuxus and Lithuania. We were happy to see what a big part of Lithuanian heritage Fluxus taken. During our meetings we discussed why this relationship is so important for Lithuania's cultural development, and how our collection and the country are historically and culturally connected, including the challenges and timing behind these processes.

We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and generous time shared with us, especially the National M.
K. Ciurlionis Museum - with heartfelt thanks to Virginija Vitkiené and Lina Pranaityté, as well as the Galerija Vartai and amazing Laura Rutkute and Karolina Zalénaité, also Contemporary Art Centre, Valentinas Klimasauskas, Rapolas Vedrickas; Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Center, Marija Saraite, and many more who contributed to meaningful meetings and inspiring conversations.

Thank you all for the openness, trust, and thoughtful exchange. This visit was truly special, and we are very thankful for the time spent together and for the shared vision for the future of Fluxus.

We look forward to meeting again soon and continuing this beautiful connection with Lithuania. 🇱🇹

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Alison Knowles(1933-2025).
She was a dear friend and collaborator of Francesco Conz, and her presence has always held a special place within our collection.
Her pioneering spirit and gentle strength will continue to resonate through her works and the memories she leaves behind.

During his speech, he shared how our collection resonates with Deutsche Bank’s own — through shared ideas, themes, and even artists. It’s always inspiring to see how these creative connections bridge different contexts, yet continue to speak a common language of and thought.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of La Monte Young, one of the most influential composers and pioneers of minimal music.
His visionary approach to sound, time, and perception has profoundly shaped the history of experimental art and music.
La Monte Young shared a long friendship and creative dialogue with Francesco Conz, who deeply admired his radical spirit and dedication to artistic purity.
Their collaboration stands as a testament to Conz’s commitment to supporting avant-garde artists who redefined the boundaries of art, music, and performance.

Throwback to The Bernard Heidsieck Literary Prize – Centre Pompidou / Archivio Conz which was established in 2017 to honor literary forms beyond the book: sound poetry, performance, film poetry, digital formats, and more. The prize is awarded in two categories: the Prix d’Honneur and the Prix de l’Année.

In memory of Takako Saito, an exceptional Fluxus artist whose playful spirit, poetic precision and inventive approach transformed the boundaries of art and life. Her works continue to echo with curiosity, humor and deep sensitivity, qualities that remain at the heart of Fluxus and its living legacy.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Takako Saitō on 30 September 2025.
An exceptional Fluxus artist, Takako created a unique body of work defined by play, transformation, and poetic imagination. She was also a dearest friend and collaborator of Francesco Conz, with whom she realized numerous editions and performances.

Her legacy will continue to inspire and resonate within the Fluxus community and beyond.
