Martin Parr zählt zu den prägendsten Fotografen der Gegenwart. Die Ausstellung „Grand Hotel Parr“ ist die erste große Fotobuch-Retrospektive des Magnum-Fotografen.
In Kooperation mit The PhotoBookMuseum Köln präsentiert das NMN über 250 Fotobuchprojekte aus mehr als vier Jahrzehnten.
Mit scharfem Blick und britischem Humor dokumentiert Parr seit den 1980er Jahren die Absurditäten unserer globalen Konsum- und Freizeitkultur – am Strand, im Casino, im Museum oder Hotel.
Die Ausstellung ist inszeniert wie ein echtes Hotel – mit „Reading Lounge“, „Dining Room“ und Terrasse mit „Seaside View“. Blättern, stöbern, entdecken – willkommen im Grand Hotel Parr!

Martin Parr is one of the most influential photographers of our time. Grand Hotel Parr is the first major photobook retrospective of the renowned Magnum photographer.
In collaboration with The PhotoBookMuseum Cologne, Neues Museum Nürnberg presents over 250 photobook projects spanning more than four decades.
With a keen eye and trademark British humor, Parr has been documenting the absurdities of our global consumer and leisure culture since the 1980s – whether at the beach, in casinos, museums, or hotels.
The exhibition is staged like a real hotel – complete with a "Reading Lounge," "Dining Room," and a terrace with a "Seaside View." Browse, explore, discover – welcome to the Grand Hotel Parr!
