Ikonen der Pop Art:
Campbell’s Soups bis Coca-Cola Girls“
– selected prints and sculptures
Galerie Boisserée proudly presents an exhibition focusing on the development, history and perception of one of the most vibrant art movements: Pop Art.
There are the early beginnigs in the UK and in the USA. The strong expansion of the visual impact of mass media like adverts in magazines or television has not failed to leave its mark on the artists of the sixties and seventies of the 20th Century. Artists like Patrick Caulfield in the UK or Andy Warhol in the USA combined their artistic ideas with the glamorous input of the vivid and modern media world. Pop Art is an art movement which seems to be modern to this day. On view are art artworks by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein or Keith Haring as classical Pop Artists. Alex Katz who has developed a stunning body of work from the seventies on, is working to the present day with the formal principals of this iconic style.
Exhibition from April 25 to Jun 20 (extended), 2026
