Die Galerie Christian Lethert wurde im August 2006 in der Antwerpener Straße in Köln eröffnet und konzentriert sich auf reduzierte und abstrakte Positionen der zeitgenössischen Kunst. Neben einer Zusammenarbeit mit einer Generation bereits international etablierter Künstler/Innen, wie Imi Knoebel, Katharina Sieverding, Lutz Fritsch oder Jill Baroff, vertritt die Galerie ebenfalls ausgewählte junge

Positionen, wie u.a. In einem Rhythmus von sechs bis acht Wochen zeigt die Galerie Christian Lethert spannende Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen, die durch ein Rahmenprogramm und Veranstaltungen ergänzt werden. Seit 2006 präsentiert die Galerie Christian Lethert ihr Künstlerprogramm auf diversen Kunstmessen im In- und Ausland.

Founded in August 2006, Galerie Christian Lethert pursues a clear concept of reduced and abstract positions in Contemporary Art, referring to painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. Besides working with an internationally established generation of artists like Imi Knoebel, Katharina Sieverding or Jill Baroff, Galerie Christian Lethert focuses on fine and distinguished, contemporary positions such as Jorinde Voigt, Daniel Lergon or Gereon Krebber. Five to six times a year the gallery presents interesting single and group exhibitions, combined with a supporting program of lectures and controversy.

»For Now«
featuring Jill Baroff

Drawing Room is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition »For Now« featuring works by Jill Baroff & Stefana McClure. In this duo exhibition, the two artists’ collaboration revolves around concepts of temporality and how the idea of time informs the structure and methodology of their respective practices.
The exhibition’s title, For Now, is taken from a poem by the Irish poet and current Poet Laureate, Vona Groarke, who encourages us to “marshal attention, allow the day to dissolve, as it does, in the nothing of our doing and the nothing we have done.“

»In deinen Händen« Roman Gysin

📍Amt für Jugend und Berufsberatung, Ausstellungsstrasse 88, 8005 Zürich

For the AJB, Roman Gysin designed an LED lightbox for the façade featuring internationally known pictograms from the shipping industry that highlight the fragility of the goods being transported. This serves as a metaphor for the fragility of human relationships and the responsibility that comes with them. The art-and-architecture intervention “In Your Hands” directly references the AJB’s mission – from supporting young families and guiding career choices to complex processes such as child protection.

IMI KNOEBEL   Imi Knoebel presents works from his new series: a large-format painting made of welded aluminum, individual »Zeichen«, and multipart works titled »Poem« and »Ligatur« made of Corten steel.

The foundations of painting and sculpture are explored, in the artist’s characteristically radical manner, through form, color, and material. The exhibition offers no easily readable answers, but rather manifold experiences.

»Schwarzkaue Weisskaue«

“With the exhibition »Schwarzkaue Weisskaue«, Gereon Krebber develops a site-specific installation conceived directly from the history of the former colliery. The starting point are the so-called Kauen — the miners’ changing rooms, where work clothing and everyday clothing were kept separate. Krebber takes up this structure and deliberately inverts it: black and white, work and everyday life, shift their places.”
