FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS

Friendship Commanders are a heavy duo from Nashville TN. The band is songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Buick Audra and drummer/bassist Jerry Roe. Their fourth album, BEAR, was released on October 10, 2025 via their new label home, Magnetic Eye Records; order here. The ten-track body of work was co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Kurt Ballou at his Salem, MA studio, GodCity. The project is centered around the idea of belonging—where it exists, and where it absolutely does not.
Their third album, MASS, is a concept record about memory, language, and the state of Massachusetts. Like BEAR, it was co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Kurt Ballou at GodCity in Salem, MA. The album is accompanied by a memoir in essays by Buick Audra. Both were released on September 29, 2023.
BILL - The Steve Albini Mixes was released on July 22, 2024, revealing the original, previously unreleased analog mixes of FC’s second album, BILL. The record was released on what would have been Albini’s 62nd birthday.
Their 2022 EP, RELEASE THE REST, is a limited vinyl compilation of the singles they released throughout the pandemic following their 2020 EP, HOLD ON TO YOURSELF, a collection about being an adult survivor of childhood abuse. Both were mixed by Kurt Ballou.
The band released two previous albums; BILL (2018) was recorded at Electrical Audio by Steve Albini, and DAVE (2016) was engineered and produced by the band.

ANARKUSS X MOTHERFUCIFER

ANARKUSS is a Berlin-based band composed of AL (who’s played in bands like MILEMARKER, HELLBENDER and CHALLENGER) and ANNEEE (who’s played in bands like BIG EATER and CAREBENDER). Their music has been described as “combat folk” and “experimental acoustic punk.” They have released two tapes on their own label and a self-titled CD/CS on Exotic Fever Records (Philadelphia, USA). The recordings are a documentation; the real point of the band is to play live. The motivation is to share music and ideas, connect with like-minded people, and participate in strengthening the infrastructure of underground alternative culture that opposes the mainstream.

Motherfucifer is Prague based dark folk duo with roots in the local DIY punk scene. Instead of epigonism of traditional folk music, they explore sounds and stories of their own lived myths. Their album „Klid spících“ was released by the legendary Prague label Silver-rocket.

WASTELAND HAZE X V’GER GALAXIS

Wasteland Haze melden sich mit ihrem zweiten Vinylrelease „Lonestar“ zurück: eine instrumentale Italowestern-Rachegeschichte in postapokalyptischer Atmosphäre. Mit einer Mischung aus Stoner, Doom und Postrock erschafft das Düsseldorfer Trio eine dichte, spannende Klangreise.

Gegründet 2022, besteht die Band aus Björn Lepper, Christian Lastowski und Hendrik Dräger. Nach Debütalbum, EP und Vinyl-Neuauflage erschien 2025 die Compilation „Into the Wasteland“.

Gemeinsam mit der Cottbuser Band V’ger Galaxis bringen sie das Haus richtig zum Wackeln.

SLOW LORIS QUARTETT

Die Musik des Slow Loris Quartets rund um den Gitarristen und Komponisten Carl Justus Kröning reicht von bewegenden Modern Jazz Balladen bis hin zu Drum ’n Bass Tracks.
Alle werden durch eine klare, auch von klassischer Musik inspirierte Handschrift vereint. Ihre besondere Kraft liegt in den großen musikalischen Bögen, die sich ganz unbemerkt viel
Zeit lassen und das in einer beeindruckenden Ruhe – obwohl es auch immer wieder groovig, schnell oder laut zugehen kann. Diese Ruhe wirkt, gerade im Hinblick auf unser stessiges Alltagsleben, stetig schrumpfende Aufmerksamkeitsspannen und allgegenwärtige Dauerbeschallung wie eine außergewöhnliche Klangtherapie.
Dabei geht minutiös durchkomponiertes Material Hand in Hand mit gekonnter Improvisation von vier erfahrenen musikalischen Persönlichkeiten, die sich schon lange kennen und unermüdlich an ihrem gemeinsamen Sound feilen.

Eine atemberaubend unberechenbare Kollision aus Punk-Energie, Math-Rock Taktarten, treibenden Techno-Beats, expressiven Free-Jazz Saxophon-Soli, kraftvollen Synthesizern und sich
überschlagendem Call-and-Response-Gesang: „Snapshot Of Pure Attention“ ist das berauschende zweite Album des Berliner Trios Painting. Es ist der zu Recht mit Spannung erwartete Nachfolger des hochgelobten Debütalbums „Painting Is Dead“ von 2022, für das sie vom Rolling Stone als die „tollste neue Band, die man gegenwärtig in der deutschen Pop-Avantgarde findet“ gefeiert werden.
Painting sind Theresa Stroetges (Gesang, Bass, Gitarre, Synthesizer), Christian Hohenbild (Schlagzeug, Electronics, Gesang) und Sophia Trollmann (Saxophon, Gesang, Synthesizer). Stroetges und Hohenbild spielen zuvor gemeinsam in der Band Soft Grid, während Trollmann Saxophon zu Stroetges‘ Soloprojekt Golden Diskó Ship beisteuert.
