This new work from Anna Kruhelska’s ‘Parallel Perspectives’ series will be part of our one-artist show at this year’s art karlsruhe.

Anna Kruhelska is a visual artist and architect working in Łódź, Poland. Her background in architecture has formed her understanding of form, symmetry, and space, giving her a knowledge that has allowed her to cultivate a congruous art practice. Inspired by minimalism, architectural composition, geometry, and origami, Kruhelska creates clean, crisp, often white-on-white framed wall installations.

It is with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to Igor Oleinikov — a remarkable soul and an extraordinary artist whose vision and talent enriched the world. Sadly, Igor Oleinikov passed away far too soon at the age of 57 on November 30, 2025.

As his gallery representative and friend, I had the privilege of witnessing his creative genius up close: the depth of his imagination, the precision of his craft, and the quiet poetry that lived in every brushstroke.

Igor’s work spoke with a voice uniquely his own — combining sensitivity, brilliance, and a profound understanding of the human spirit. His paintings were more than art; they were windows into a world shaped by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to art. His art held the ability to touch something sacred within us.

Though he is no longer with us, his light continues to live on in every work of art he created and every heart he inspired.

Rest in peace, Igor. You will be forever missed, forever admired, and forever remembered.

—————————

Ruhe in Frieden, Igor.

🙏

„The Purity of Silence“ by Maxim Wakultschik is a truly remarkable work that stands out as a masterpiece in contemporary art. This portrait, infused with intricate ornamentation, exudes a mysterious aura that invites viewers to explore its depths. What makes this piece especially unique is Wakultschik’s innovative technique: he constructs the artwork using approximately 100,000 monochrome lacquered wooden sticks.

From an art-historical perspective, the piece is highly valuable because it seamlessly blends various artistic traditions. It draws inspiration from the Pointillism movement, with its meticulous arrangement of tiny elements creating a cohesive image, and also echoes the optical illusions characteristic of Op-Art, which play with perception and visual effects.

Moreover, the work bridges the worlds of painting and sculpture, as the three-dimensional arrangement of wooden sticks adds a tactile dimension to the portrait. The integration of ornamental motifs further enriches the composition, giving it a layered, almost enigmatic quality. Overall, „The Purity of Silence“ is a stunning example of how innovative techniques and a deep understanding of art history can come together to produce a truly unique and thought-provoking masterpiece.
