The inaugurated the exhibition “ALTER MARKT POTSDAM” with works by last night 🥂

For over a year, the artist painted right on Potsdam’s Old Market Square, through all the seasons, in ever-changing light, in rain, snow, and summer heat, thus creating an extraordinary pictorial portrait of this historic square and its atmosphere.

The exhibition runs until October 25 and features a series of over 30 works, including oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, prints, and backlit glass paintings, in which Lehmpfuhl explores the recent history and present-day reality of Potsdam’s city center.

You’ll also find a selection of works by this Berlin-based artist in our gallery. Just drop by or check out our website!

The is presenting works by and from our gallery collection in the exhibition “Surrealism: Worlds in Dialogue” 🎭

The exhibition focuses on an exploration of the Surrealist movement and its influence on art over the past century, up to the present day. On display are works from the early Surrealist movement at the beginning of the 20th century, as well as works by subsequent generations that take up, further develop, or engage in a dialogical exchange with its visual worlds, themes, and artistic approaches. The exhibition demonstrates that the forms of expression and ways of thinking characteristic of Surrealism continue to resonate today and remain relevant.

Our next will take place next Tuesday, May 26, from 12 to 12.30 pm.

The focus will be on works by .kneffel.art.
Born in Marl in 1957, the artist uses genres typical of Realism but presents them detached from their traditional contexts. What is striking in her works is the visual and intellectual-emotional balancing act between closeness and distance.

We look forward to seeing you!

This year, the in Vienna celebrates its 250th anniversary. It is an occasion to look back upon generous donations and address collecting as a task for the future. The exhibition “Donated with Love” shows a curated cross-section of the diverse works recently donated to the museum and is conceived as a big thank-you to the artists and supporters who have contributed to the contemporary art collection’s expansion.
The exhibition lends visibility to recent new acquisitions, showing a selection of large workgroups by figures such as Roy Lichtenstein and Sean Scully as well as individual works by artists ranging from Julie Mehretu to Katharina Grosse.

📅 On view until 15 November 2026 at the museum.

👨🏼‍🎨 Works by Keith Haring and Katharina Grosse can also be found in our gallery. Just drop by and stroll through our collection.

Dripped and poured onto the surface, the color seems to emerge as a living presence. Red, blue, and yellow expand in soft, rounded forms merging into each other.
The compositions appear like fragments of an ongoing, almost cosmic process - at once emotional, dynamic, and calm. Deeply influenced by Japanese aesthetics, Francis understood emptiness not as absence, but as an active space of light, silence, and breath. The white surface becomes a field of presence, where form and non-form remain in delicate balance.
His work combines elements of calligraphy, color field painting, and action painting, where pure colors meet unpainted space and intensify one another.
Born in California in 1923, Francis lived in Europe, Tokyo, and New York. His works invite viewers into a meditative space between movement and stillness, where color becomes experience.

It’s 🤓

Today we would like to recommend the current exhibition „Visionen der Moderne – August Macke und Max Ernst“ at the .august.macke.haus.

was a regular guest at ’s home in Bonn and exhibited his art for the first time in 1913 at the Exhibition of Rhineland Expressionists, organized by Macke himself. Points of connection such as the two artists’ common fascination for past art movements, their shared pictorial humor, and their links to Bonn are themes of the show as are their disparate biographies as the result of the first world war. Nearly 85 years of Ernst’s living and 70 artistically productive years contrast with August Macke’s 27 years of living, albeit with no less prodigious artistic productivity.

Works by both artists can also be found in our gallery. Just drop by and stroll through our collection.

Ever looked at a painting and felt like you were seeing many different things at once? That’s the magic of the works by ✨

A true rebel of the German post war art scene. From his iconic Rasterbilder (dot patterns) that poked fun at consumer culture to his „alchemical“ works using meteor dust and toxic pigments, he never played by the rules. He showed us that art isn’t just about the finished image but about the layers of history, irony, and chaos underneath.

His work “Knochen Mobile (Bone Mobile)”, is a hauntingly beautiful example of his ability to blend the macabre with the whimsical.
Created during a period when Polke was experimenting with „Socialist Realism“ parodies and chemical reactions, this work strips art down to its literal skeleton. By using bones, the ultimate symbols of mortality, in the form of a mobile, Polke plays with a sharp irony.
The heavy, grim reality of bone is forced into a delicate, kinetic dance of symbolic weight and weightlessness. Furthermore, he treats these found objects not just as morbid relics, but as structural elements that redefine the space they inhabit.

Polke never wanted his audience to feel „settled.“ Knochen Mobile oscillates between a scientific specimen and a surrealist toy. It’s a reminder that art is always in motion, shifting with the air, the light, and our own perspectives on life and death.

On display at our booth J10 .
