Reflections of Silence: Julia Schewalie at the Stiftung für Konkrete Kunst

We are pleased to announce the current solo exhibition by Julia Schewalie at the Stiftung für konkrete Kunst in Freiburg. Titled „A Matter of Shadows,“ the exhibition runs from March 1 to April 26, 2026.

Securing a solo presentation at such a renowned institution is a significant milestone. The Foundation is a cornerstone for minimalist and non-objective art, providing the perfect architectural context for Schewalie’s rigorous yet sensitive approach to materiality.

The Intersection of Material and Space
In this exhibition, Schewalie presents a series of diverse works that challenge our perception of surface and light. Utilizing materials ranging from PVC and glass to soap, her pieces do not merely hang on the walls; they interact with the museum’s unique geometry. Here comes

Galerie Schierke Seinecke is pleased to announce its participation in art karlsruhe (Hall 2, Booth E 15) from February 5–8. Works by selected artists from the gallery’s roster will be presented.

Among them is Andrea Grützner , whose photographic works captivate with their subtle constructions of space and perception.

Theresa Möller will show new works in which painterly gestures and fragile pictorial spaces meet in a dynamic interplay.

Julia Schewalie explores the relationship between image, materiality, and movement in her work.

Arno Beck .beck will present paintings whose reduced palette and textured surfaces are reminiscent of woodblock prints, probing the boundary between painting and printmaking.

Ralf Brueck expands photography to include architectural and sculptural dimensions.

Finally, Johannes Daniel combines drawing, object, and concept to create poetic imagery.
