GMR Elsewhere 01 — Zu Gast bei Laura Brichta

Kunst dort erleben, wo sie entsteht: Unter dem Titel GMR Elsewhere öffnen Künstlerinnen und Künstler unseres Programms ihre Ateliers für eine kleine Gruppe.

Den Auftakt macht Laura Brichta. In ihrer fotografischen Serie „Tagebuch vom Finden” nähert sie sich dem Wald als einem Ort, der seit jeher von Sehnsüchten und Projektionen geprägt ist. Selbstporträts, Landschaften und inszenierte Szenen verbinden persönliche Erfahrungen mit Bildern, die sich kulturell längst in unsere Wahrnehmung eingeschrieben haben.

Peter Böhnisch — First Contact

Last two days.

Sand, pigments and minerals, applied and broken open again and again: the surface becomes part of the image itself, lending what is depicted a sculptural dimension. Landscapes, objects and astronaut-like figures appear as travellers between realities, their origins left undetermined.

The exhibition closes on 25 September.

The site-specific video installation „In Between II“ runs across three walls, combining found slide photographs by unknown authors with digital 3D objects that fall into a replica of the exhibition space.
