About the exhibition:

2025 marks the 500th anniversary of the end of the German Peasants‘ War. This provides the impetus for a contemporary artistic exploration.

The exhibition "Planetary Peasants" was created as a collaboration between the Werkleitz Gesellschaft e.V., the Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Foundation and the Moritz-burg Art Museum in Halle (Saale). A selection of six works at the Schafhof – European Art Forum Upper Bavaria focuses on social issues and problems that led to the Peasants‘ War 500 years ago and are still relevant today in various societies around the globe, albeit in a different form.
