Why Bardo Projektraum? A curatorial residency that is more than a venue.

Bardo in Berlin is a living, breathing context: a space where q***r, decolonial and intersectional practices meet. As a curator in residence, you don’t just rent a room – you enter an ecosystem of artists, collectives and communities working beyond the mainstream.

During your 1–3 month stay in 2026, you can:
• Develop a curatorial project in close dialogue with our team and local networks
• Test ideas through conversations, small gatherings and public moments
• Connect with artists engaged with migration, feminism and decolonial perspectives

This residency is for emerging and mid-career curators who see exhibitions as spaces of relation, care and critical imagination.

Curious if Bardo is the right context for your practice? Read more and apply here:

Care, community, and resistance can live in the same room. ✨

At Karne Kunst, our spaces in Berlin and Coswig are more than white walls – they’re living rooms for Latinx and migrant artists, FLINTA* creatives, and everyone who believes art can transform how we live together.

Here, banners say ARTE SIN FRONTERAS and DECOLONIZE NOW not as slogans, but as daily practice: sharing food, painting side by side, holding space for each other’s stories, and building networks that cross borders.

If you’ve been looking for a place to feel seen, to experiment, or to simply be with others who get it – you’re invited.

Making space for stories that matter most.

What does it mean to see yourself reflected on the walls of a city far from home? At Karne Kunst, every poster, every portrait, is an act of care—of reclaiming space for Latinx and migrant voices, together. Today, Marcela and Ana are putting up a new piece: a black and white portrait that carries not just an image, but a journey.

Witnessing this moment reminds us: visibility is a collective effort, and art is our language of resistance and belonging.

Curious about the artists behind these walls? Visit us in Berlin or Coswig—come meet the community, share your story, and be part of our growing network. 💛

Born 2 DIY
Upcycling as play. As protest. As possibility.

Born 2 DIY is a festival where creativity meets sustainability — a community-powered playground that invites everyone to rethink waste, consumption, and collective creation.

Through hands-on workshops, talks, and experimental formats, the festival opens space for:
🧵 Clothing repair & transformation
🎨 Screen printing & creative reuse
🗣️ Conversations on fast fashion, care, and resistance
🧩 Turning trash into art — and connection

Each edition explores a unique theme and grows organically through the people who join it: artists, designers, beginners, neighbors, and dreamers. Whether you’re here to patch a jacket or imagine a new world, you’re welcome at the table.

And it’s one of six projects currently being developed in ABC Incuba, our incubator for FLINTA* cultural workers in Berlin.

How does the body map our histories?

The body is a living archive—of movement, memory, and resistance. It carries the traces of past journeys, the weight of imposed borders, and the imprints of belonging and displacement.

Through photography, installation, mixed media, and performance, Territorial Bodies explores how bodies become landscapes of identity and power, constantly negotiating space, history, and transformation.

This exhibition is a testament to the ways we inhabit, reclaim, and redefine both our bodies and the territories we move through.

Coming soon to Bardo Projektraum.

Kaffee & Kuchen: A Conversation with the Artists
Join us for an afternoon of art, conversation, and cake! 🍰☕

On Sunday, March 16 at 4:00 PM, we invite you to Kaffee & Kuchen, a relaxed gathering at A Constant State of Becoming, where visitors can share coffee and pastries while engaging in an open conversation with the artists.

What does it mean to exist between worlds? How does migration reshape identity, memory, and belonging? This informal discussion is an opportunity to dive deeper into the themes of the exhibition and hear firsthand from the artists about their creative process, inspirations, and personal experiences.

📅 Date: Sunday, March 16, 2025
🕓 Time: 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Bardo Projektraum, Jessnerstraße 33, 10247 Berlin

Who’s next? Yay! Victoria Llorente and Raquel González Obregón are up next in the presentations of the wonderful team of artists featured in the Linking Lives exhibition.
We are delighted to present this duo of artists, showcasing one of their pieces titled "(Other) Voices." They bring together their artistic practices, which intersect at several key points, knowing how to make the most of these overlaps, both conceptually and methodologically.

You are all invited to participate in the workshop ‘’Habitar Cosiendo’’ that will be held on February 4th at Bardo Projecktraum, in which we will be guided in the practice of sewing photographs on textil. If you want more information do not hesitate to write an email to [email protected] or md to
