Nadja Buttendorf&Sabrina Labis - Daniela Comani - Sophie Gabrielle - Timo Hinze - Ida Kammerloch - Pixy Liao - Daniel Poller Es stehen nicht kommerzielle, sondern kommunikative und inhaltliche Interessen im Mittelpunkt der Galeriearbeit. Es geht um den Austausch zwische

n Fotografen/Innen, Kuratoren/Innen, Autoren/Innen und dem an Fotografie interessierten Publikum. Vernetzung findet gleichermaßen auf professioneller wie auf öffentlicher Ebene statt. existiert seit 2015 und wird von Ricus Aschemann und Maik Schlüter öffentlich vertreten. Beide Ausstellungsmacher haben in den letzten Jahren eine Vielzahl an Ausstellungen gezeigt, die von dokumentarischer über inszenierte Fotografie bis hin zu installativen und raumspezifischen Arbeiten ein breites Spektrum an fotografischer Auseinandersetzung spiegeln. 2016 haben Ricus Aschemann und Maik Schlüter die internationale Ausstellung MORE TO COME im Rahmen von Scope Hannover kuratiert und dafür mit Institutionen wie der Städtischen Galerie oder dem Sprengel Museum kooperiert. Auch 2018 gab es eine weitere Ausstellung in diesem Format: IN YOUR FACE (IYF).

The Things I Tell You Will Not Be Wrong is the third exhibition project by Scope Hannover – Biennale für Fotografie und Medienkunst. In times of lockdowns and restricted social interaction, it examines the possibilities of online art production. It is an experiment with an open outcome. It is a project in two parts: From July 2020 to June 2021, nine artists are invited to realize an online exhibition on a website, specifically created for this purpose. The exhibition is accompanied by a Live program that mainly takes place online. In June 2021, all artists – and some more – are invited to the biennial’s group exhibition at several venues in Hanover, Germany. Here, both online and physical art production will be confronted and reviewed.

The Things I Tell You Will Not Be Wrong presents works by artists with an analytical and self-reflexive way of working with images. The exhibition project investigates how images “tell” things, and how they represent and create realities. The different contexts of presentation – the uncontrollable space of the internet and the extremely local space of the exhibition in Hanover – create a tension, catalyzing the experiment as a whole.
