In terms of design and development of LED lighting, we combine the high requirements of conservators and specialist planners for light quality and the challenges from architects and exhibition designers with today's technical possibilities. For us is this bridge always an exciting balancing act between the technically feasible and the design goal. Minimalist design, high quality material and surfa

ce are as much in focus as light quality. We only use LEDs with the highest colour rendering and a low light damage potential. They are regularly tested and certified by independent museums and institutes such as the Rathgen Research Laboratory. In parallel, we measure the lighting spectral analysis according to the new IES standard TM-30-15 and the relative damage potential in our in-house lighting laboratory. Thus, we have a photogoniometer and an integrating sphere at our disposal!

This week, the marketing team from corporate friends visited OMR in Hamburg and got exciting insights into the future of digital marketing.

One thing became clear:

April flew by! ✈️
It was a packed month for us at corporate friends – lots of travelling and new perspectives along the way. Here are a few highlights we’d love to share:

Photos 1-3: Milan Design Week 2026
- Two of our designers attended Milan Design Week in the heart of Milan, exploring the latest global design developments. Highlights included Nocturne by Konstantin Grcic and Maap by Erwan Bouroullec at Flos, as well as emerging designers in Isola with a focus on sustainability and new materials.

Photos 4-6: Future Day for SMEs 2026
- At the Future Day, our management team explored the key topics shaping SMEs today, from digital transformation to energy security. A great reminder that real progress comes from clear priorities, pragmatic decisions and taking responsibility.

Photos 7-9: Opening at Dresden Residenzschloss
- We were invited to an exclusive preview of the new permanent exhibition “Masken und Kronen“ at Residenzschloss, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. We’re delighted to be part of this project and to illuminate parts of this special exhibition.

- At the moment, we’re in London for the – the world’s only true peer to peer lighting design awards. Designers vote for designers, making this concept truly special. Fingers crossed for our C1-nano-HC tonight. 🤞

A little Friday highlight: a custom version of our UT-14-V, created for our retailer .

What started as the idea of a 2.5 m freestanding magnetic track for atmospheric top lighting turned into a refined solution using our existing system. By combining two profiles of our UT-14 linear system, we created a double-sided magnetic track that allows for flexible spotlight positioning at different heights.

The solid wooden base, crafted by our regional partner , ensures stability and adds a natural touch.

Next week, the piece will be on display at the Ambiente Luce showroom during .design.week. The coolest thing: Two of our designers will deliver it in person and take part in the fair themselves.

With a head diameter of just 12 mm, the C1-nano-HC is our smallest magnetic track spotlight to date, designed for applications where light should remain subtle yet deliver precise impact.

180° tilt, 360° rotation, and flicker-free dimming from 1–100% at 20 kHz, controlled via magnetic pen.

Up to seven interchangeable optics expand the creative possibilities.

Remember last week’s upgrade?💡

Our C2-STT-D was refined, both in design and functionality.

Its real highlight is the tool-free interchangeability of LED modules and optics. Like a modular system, the spotlight can be easily assembled and reconfigured to allow high flexibility and different applications.

With just one spotlight, a wide range of lighting scenarios can be created, whether precise accent lighting or uniform wall illumination.

Users can choose between three attachments:
- Fixed lens with five beam angles
- Zoom optic
- Wallwasher

Built for the 48V track system, this modular LED spotlight combines refined design with enhanced performance – with further optimizations already in progress.

Originally known as „Deichmanske“, Lib was created in close collaboration with Frederik Friederichs (Light Bureau).

Crafted from a solid aluminium profile and designed for longevity, it is built to withstand intensive public use. It provides optimal lighting conditions for focused reading and work.
