- We have such an amazing show on view right now at the gallery:
Johanna Seidel ‘Gardens at night’
on view until 18.06.

“There are places where things seem to move a little more slowly, as if pausing briefly before they happen. Johanna Seidel’s painting does not address the eye alone; it evokes a network of memories, sensations, and associations. Many of the settings depicted in her new works—urban scenes, interiors, or gardens—appear to exist on the threshold between waking and sleep. Reflections and visual echoes recur: in windows, mirrors, and puddles; Janus-faced girls and repeating motifs. Mythological references surface again and again, quietly and fragmentarily—more as traces than as explicit narratives. Thus, gardens at night become sites of mystery. Places that only moments before seemed familiar transform into liminal spaces—moments suspended between memory, perception, and imagination.” (text by Isabella Engelhardt)

Save the Date ! Johanna Seidel ‘Gardens at Night’

Opening March 14, 4–8 p.m. with playlist - food & drinks, come around! We look forward to welcoming you.

Johanna Seidel , born 1993 in Sebnitz, Germany, lives and works in Dresden. Her painting explores nature as a psychological and symbolic space in which interior states and external landscapes converge. Through a lyrical and carefully constructed visual language, Seidel creates immersive environments where memory, mythology, and dream imagery intertwine.

Her compositions unfold as suspended narratives in which figures and vegetation merge, dissolving stable boundaries between the human and the organic. Drawing on art historical references and archetypal symbols, she develops a personal iconography that resists fixed interpretation and invites contemplative engagement.

A nuanced and evocative use of color shapes the emotional atmosphere of her works. Within these chromatic fields, fleeting impressions condense into distilled painterly moments that render the imagined and the remembered perceptible at once.

Seidel received her Master of Fine Arts from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden. Her work has been presented in exhibitions in New York, Beijing, London, Leipzig, Meißen, and Detmold, and included in institutional presentations such as Museum Gunzenhauser, Chemnitz, among others.

Last days! ~ Chloé Saï Breil-Dupont — ‘Joys Sleep Here’
at Galerie Laetitia Gorsy

“It is said that the body does not lie, and when I am there, I also know that it straightens itself as it has never done here. That it recognizes something that cannot be translated into words and transforms it into gesture.”
— Julie Crenn

With deep gratitude to Julie Crenn for her insightful and resonant text. .iecrenn

~ We are pleased to share that Lou Hoyer is featured in the current issue of KUNSTFORUM International (Band 308, February–March 2026), in a special section dedicated to contemporary approaches to drawing written by ♾️

The article highlights Hoyer’s large-scale charcoal works, in which distorted and anamorphic female bodies unfold narratives of physical and psychological transformation, particularly in relation to motherhood and embodied perception. Her practice approaches drawing as a full-body gesture, where rhythm, movement and internal vision shape the image beyond the external gaze.

We warmly congratulate the artist on this important feature and are proud to represent her work. 🤍 We are also delighted to invite you to where we will present a bench of new amazing works!

- We are pleased to see works by Claudia Kleiner and Sarah Pschorn brought together in the exhibition Tipping Points at

The presentation unfolds around the notion of the tipping point — that precise, often imperceptible moment at which a shift occurs and a new dynamic takes hold. Through painting and porcelain, Kleiner and Pschorn engage material, rhythm, and spatial perception to trace this threshold of transformation. Their works activate the exhibition space as a field of tension, balance, and subtle transition, inviting viewers to attune to processes of emergence and reversal. .kleiner

work unfolds in a space of suspension between bodies and fragments, memories and projections, intimacy and rupture. Painting, drawing, and publishing form a constellation through which Chloé constructs porous worlds, where figures appear caught mid-gesture, suspended between tenderness and tension, presence and disappearance. Narrative remains open, unfolding through hesitation and parallel paths.

In September 2025, she presented the solo exhibition ở đây, ở đó, và ở khắp mọi nơi at the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City (Bảo Tàng Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh), marking a pivotal moment in her engagement with place, displacement, and layered realities shaped by movement between continents, languages, and states of being.

Her recent solo exhibitions include all doors opened at Nicodim, Los Angeles (2024); Our Tongues Have the Taste of Powder at Nicodim Upstairs, Los Angeles (2023); I NEVER BROKE UP WITH YOU at Newchild Gallery, Antwerp (2022); and The Unknown Beginning of a Very Long Story at Nicodim, Bucharest (2022).
