Das Betreuer-Team des Regelbaus 10 in Rastatt hat diese Woche ein interessantes Programm zum Thema "80 Jahre 1944/45 am Oberrhein" zusammengestellt:
Am Mittwoch, 9.April um 19 Uhr wird Kurt Pottiez zum Thema "Rastatt zwischen Krieg und Frieden" berichten. In dem Bildervortrag geht es um die letzten Kriegsmonate 1945 und den "totalen Krieg" mit Luftangriffen und Zerstörungen bis hin zum Einmarsch der Sieger und französischen Besatzung. Ort: Aula der Karlschule Rastatt, Eintritt frei.
Am Samstag, 12. April um 17 Uhr wird Karl Schweizer uns über das ehemalige "Arbeitserziehungslager" in Niederbühl (1941-1945) berichten. Zusammen mit dem Heimatverein Niederbühl-Förch gibt es eine Begehung des Geländes und Erinnerungen von Zeitzeugen. Treffpunkt: Pyramide (bei der Firma BASI) an der Straße Richtung Kuppenheim/Abzweigung nach Förch. Eintritt frei.
Am Sonntag, 13. April ab 10 Uhr ist der Westwallbunker geöffnet. Es ist zugleich der Tag, an dem 80 Jahre zuvor die Waffen in Rastatt schwiegen und die französischen Truppen in der Stadt einmarschierten. Besonderer Höhepunkt: Um 10 Uhr wird beim Bunker ein Kampfmittelbeseitiger aus seiner Tätigkeit berichten, Utensilien zeigen und erklären, wie es beim Bombenentschärfen zugeht. Schließlich fielen 1944/45 allein über Rastatt mehr als 1000 Bomben, die noch längst nicht alle geborgen sind.
L'équipe du Regelbau 10 de Rastatt a concocté cette semaine un programme intéressant sur le thème « 80 ans 1944/45 dans la région du Rhin supérieur » :
Le mercredi 9 avril à 19 heures, Kurt Pottiez fera un exposé sur le thème « Rastatt entre guerre et paix ». La conférence illustrée portera sur les derniers mois de la guerre de 1945 et la « guerre totale » avec les attaques aériennes et les destructions jusqu'à l'entrée des vainqueurs et de l'occupation française. Lieu : Aula de la Karlschule Rastatt, entrée gratuite.
Le samedi 12 avril à 17 heures, Karl Schweizer nous parlera de l'ancien « camp d'éducation au travail » de Niederbühl (1941-1945). En collaboration avec le Heimatverein Niederbühl-Förch, il y aura une visite du site et des souvenirs de témoins de l'époque. Lieu de rendez-vous : Pyramide (près de l'entreprise BASI) sur la route en direction de Kuppenheim/bifurcation vers Förch. Entrée libre et gratuite.
Le dimanche 13 avril, le bunker du Westwall sera ouvert à partir de 10 heures. C'est également le jour où, 80 ans plus tôt, les armes se sont tues à Rastatt et où les troupes françaises sont entrées dans la ville. Point fort particulier : à 10 heures, un spécialiste du déminage parlera de son travail, montrera des ustensiles et expliquera comment se déroule le désamorçage des bombes. En 1944/45, plus de 1000 bombes sont tombées sur Rastatt.

On Saturday, April 12 at 5 pm, Karl Schweizer will tell us about the former “labor education camp” in Niederbühl (1941-1945). Together with the Niederbühl-Förch local history association, there will be a tour of the site and recollections from contemporary witnesses. Meeting point: Pyramid (at the BASI company) on the road towards Kuppenheim/junction to Förch. Admission free.
The Westwall bunker will be open on Sunday, April 13 from 10 am. It is also the day on which the guns fell silent in Rastatt 80 years earlier and the French troops marched into the town. A special highlight: at 10 a.m., an explosive ordnance disposal officer will report on his work at the bunker, show equipment and explain how bomb disposal is carried out. After all, more than 1000 bombs fell over Rastatt alone in 1944/45, and not all of them have been recovered yet.
