Verbringt den Internationalen Museumstag 2026 auf der Glashütte Gernheim!
Neben Führungen in verschiedenen Sprachen durch Museum und Schauproduktion findet eine Führung im Sitzen für Menschen mit Mobilitätseinschränkungen auf der Terrasse des „Gernheim Panoramas“ statt. Thematisch zur aktuellen Sonderausstellung passend führt Daniel Grüning von der Biologischen Station Minden-Lübbecke e. V. durch die Weseraue, während Familien spielerisch zu „Bei Dir piept’s wohl! Von echten und gläsernen Vö**ln in der Gernheimer Weseraue“ eine Vogelralley lösen können. Parallel dürfen sich alle in einer Werkstatt ausprobieren und in der wunderbaren Atmosphäre des Herrenhausgartens picknicken. Hierfür hält der Förderverein der Glashütte neben einigen Bänke und Decken auch gefüllte Picknickkörbe bereit, die gegen eine Spende erhältlich sind. Eigene Verpflegung kann natürlich ebenfalls gern mitgebracht werden.
Spend International Museum Day 2026 at the Gernheim Glassworks!
In addition to guided tours in various languages of the museum and the demonstration production facility, there will be a seated tour for people with limited mobility on the terrace of the “Gernheim Panorama.” In keeping with the theme of the current special exhibition, Daniel Grüning from the Minden-Lübbecke Biological Station will lead a tour through the Weser floodplain. Meanwhile, families can explore the exhibition and the surrounding area in a playful way and complete a bird scavenger hunt for “Going cockoo! Real and glass birds in the Gernheim Weser floodplain.” At the same time, everyone is welcome to try their hand at a workshop and enjoy a picnic in the wonderful atmosphere of the manor house garden. For this, the Friends of the Glassworks Association will provide benches, blankets, and filled picnic baskets, which are available for a donation. Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own food.
