The preparations are complete.

Tomorrow we will open the Golm Summer Exhibition 2026 dedicated to the work of Siegward Sprotte in the historic Neue Kirche / Kaiser-Friedrich-Kirche in Potsdam-Golm.

Surrounded by architecture, history, and quiet contemplation, the exhibition space is now ready to welcome its first visitors. The dialogue between this historic place and the paintings began long before the opening, and we are looking forward to sharing this unique encounter with you.

For Siegward Sprotte, art was never separate from life, nature, or spiritual experience. There could hardly be a more fitting setting for these works than this remarkable church interior, where light, silence, and space become part of the viewing experience.

The end of May at our Potsdam gallery.

While we are preparing for the opening of the Golm Summer Exhibition on 31 May, daily life at Galerie Falkenstern Fine Art continues quietly behind the scenes: conversations in the gallery rooms, changing light throughout the day, works being arranged and rearranged.

Even in the midst of exhibition preparations, our gallery space in Potsdam remains very much alive — a place for discovery, exchange, and slower ways of looking.

On 31 May 2026, we open the Golm Summer Exhibition 2026 dedicated to the work of Siegward Sprotte in the historic Neue Kirche / Kaiser-Friedrich-Kirche in Potsdam-Golm.

Set within the quiet atmosphere of the church, the exhibition brings together paintings and watercolours in which landscape becomes more than motif: a field of perception, rhythm, and contemplation. In Siegward Sprotte’s work, nature is never observed from a distance — it is experienced as a living dialogue between movement, colour, silence, and presence.

For decades, Siegward Sprotte pursued a form of painting that resisted noise and spectacle. His works invite a slower way of seeing — attentive to transition, atmosphere, and the subtle energies of the visible world.

We warmly invite you to join us for the opening and to experience these works in a space where architecture, light, and painting enter into dialogue.

15. Mai 2026 — In ehrendem Gedenken an Cosmea Sprotte

Zum Geburtstag von Cosmea Sprotte erinnern die Familie Sprotte, die Sprotte Stiftung sowie Galerie Falkenstern Fine Art an eine außergewöhnliche Persönlichkeit von weltläufiger Eleganz, kultureller Tiefe und besonderer menschlicher Ausstrahlung.

Cosmea Sprotte verstand es wie nur wenige, Kunst, Geist und gesellschaftliche Haltung miteinander zu verbinden. Mit feinem Gespür für Schönheit, mit Stil, Herzlichkeit und großer Zugewandtheit prägte sie Begegnungen weit über den kulturellen Kreis hinaus.

Kampen und viele Reisen waren ihr überwiegender Schaffensort — Quellen der Inspiration, der Begegnung und des kulturellen Austauschs. Dort entstanden viele jener Eindrücke und Erinnerungen, die bis heute nachwirken.

Ihr Geist bleibt gegenwärtig — in der Kunst, in den Gesprächen, in den Erinnerungen und in den Herzen der Menschen, die ihr begegnen durften.

We simply couldn’t wait to share what we have prepared for 2027.

More than 1,000 copies of the new Siegward Sprotte 2027 Calendar have just arrived at Galerie Falkenstern Fine Art — fresh from print and already filling the gallery with colour.

The new edition brings together a carefully selected journey through Siegward Sprotte’s works — from atmospheric landscapes and luminous colour worlds to quiet, meditative compositions that accompany the changing seasons throughout the year.

For the especially curious and forward-looking among you, the calendars are now already available for purchase at the gallery.

Vielen Dank an alle Besucher, Partner und Freunde der Galerie, die unser Open House in Potsdam gemeinsam mit .haus zu einem besonderen Erlebnis gemacht haben.

Es war inspirierend zu sehen, wie Architektur, Kunst und persönliche Begegnungen in diesem außergewöhnlichen Umfeld zusammengefunden haben. Die Gespräche, das Interesse an den Werken von Siegward Sprotte und der offene Austausch über Räume, Materialien und Atmosphäre haben diese Tage für uns besonders gemacht.

Unser besonderer Dank gilt dem Team von Talis Haus für die enge Zusammenarbeit und die gemeinsame Vision, Kunst und Architektur miteinander in Dialog zu bringen.

Behind every exhibition and every event, there is a great deal of quiet work, coordination, and attention to detail. At Galerie Falkenstern Fine Art, we are currently preparing the space together — bringing art, architecture, and atmosphere into dialogue for the upcoming days on 8 & 9 May.

May unfolds in colour.

Our 2026 calendar continues — with a work by Siegward Sprotte:

“Blumen vor Hauswand”, 1994.

Here, nature is not depicted — it comes into presence.
Each brushstroke stands as an immediate act, without correction, a direct trace of seeing.

For Siegward Sprotte, painting was a form of seeing in action — a process in which perception and creation converge.

In this work, the garden becomes a field of signs — colour, rhythm, movement — not composed, but brought into presence.

A quiet reminder for May: growth does not require control — only attention.

Unser Kalender 2026 setzt sich fort — mit einem Werk von Siegward Sprotte:

„Blumen vor Hauswand“, 1994.

Hier wird Natur nicht dargestellt — sie tritt in Erscheinung. Jeder Pinselstrich ist ein unmittelbarer Akt, ohne Korrektur, eine direkte Spur des Sehens.

Für Siegward Sprotte war Malerei ein schauendes Bilden — ein Prozess, in dem Wahrnehmen und Gestalten zusammenfallen.

Der Garten erscheint als Feld von Zeichen — Farbe, Rhythmus, Bewegung — nicht komponiert, sondern in Erscheinung gebracht.

Eine leise Erinnerung im Mai:
Wachstum braucht keine Kontrolle — nur Aufmerksamkeit.

On 8 & 9 May, we warmly invite you to a special open-house event in Potsdam together with Talis Haus — and to discover the very place where contemporary architecture and Galerie Falkenstern Fine Art come together.

Three thoughtfully designed buildings form a unique ensemble that is both modern and sustainable, while also serving as a home for art, atmosphere, and inspiration. Created by .haus, this project reflects a clear vision of timeless design, craftsmanship, and quality living.

As part of the event, visitors will also have the opportunity to experience selected works by Siegward Sprotte within this exceptional setting — where space, light, and art enter into dialogue.
