The result of a trip to Milan and a beautiful mosaic floor.

Last year, soSouvenir attended a trade fair in Milan, where we met a talented Italian manufacturer and weaving mill specialising in woven silk and linen textiles. We are now proud to present these beautiful scarves, as the result of a collaboration between the Italian manufacturer, Glyptoteket Museum Shop and us.

The design of the scarves is inspired by the stunningly beautiful mosaic floor found at Glyptoteket in Room 10, ‘The Tidslen’ – a design conceived and laid as a declaration of love from Carl Jacobsen to his Scottish wife, Ottilia.

The scarf is woven from 55 per cent linen and 45 per cent silk and is available in three colour combinations and can be purchased at Glyptoteket Museum Shop .

soSouvenir are proud to unveil this exciting collaboration with the Greenlandic company Ingeborg Olsen

IO Design contacted us for help in developing and designing a high-quality Greenlandic collection, inspired by Greenland’s fantastic culture and history, and aimed at tourists who would like to take home a little piece of history and a practical souvenir. We naturally said yes, and here is the first result of our collaboration: the beautiful Ippiarsuk bag. In the past, the Ippiarsuk was made and sewn from tanned seal intestines and used by women to store sewing kits; you can find the original version on display at the National Museum of Greenland in Nuuk.

The Ippiarsuk is available to buy at various locations in Nuuk.

was asked by .museum.seebuell to design a children’s jewellery inspired by one of Emil Nolde’s beautiful animal watercolours and when we saw the watercolour of cute seahorses, we were in no doubt about what to choose. We hope you like it.
