Galleri Bo Bjerggaard was founded in 1999. The gallery has two separate exhibitions spaces, each with 2 or 3 adjoining rooms.

Initially located in the center of Copenhagen, in 2007 the gallery moved to a larger location in the old Meat Packing District. The gallery´s layout therefore allows for 2 exhibitions to be presented at the same time.

The gallery presents international contemporary art from Europe and America. While its main focus is contemporary painting, the gallery also exhibits sculpture, photography, vide

o and installations.

The gallery participates in international art fairs throughout Europe and North America

We’re delighted to share that Janaina Tschäpe will open Conversations with the Sea at Hastings Contemporary on 13 June.

The exhibition presents a new series of paintings and works on paper created in response to Tschäpe’s experience of visiting a wet and stormy Hastings in the winter of 2025.

The exhibition runs from 13 June to 13 September 2026💙

Five excerpts from a recent conversation with Janaina Tschäpe on painting, memory, atmosphere and immersion.

The interview was conducted in connection with Normandie Impressionniste 2026, a festival exploring the legacy and contemporary relevance of Impressionism.

Tschäpe’s exhibition at Aître Saint-Maclou in Rouen opened on 28 May and runs until 27 September.
