Another place that had been on our wish list for years was in Amsterdam.

We finally had the chance to visit — and it absolutely lived up to our expectations. Museum van de Geest won the European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA) 2022, one of Europe's most prestigious museum awards.

The museum explores the human mind through art, history, and personal stories, creating a thought-provoking and deeply human experience. It's easy to see why it has received international recognition.

One of the highlights for us was knowing that five of the artists we proudly represent are included in the museum's collection. It was an inspiring visit and a reminder of the importance of ensuring that outsider artists are part of the broader story of art.

A visit that was well worth the wait.

Some visits are worth waiting for. For more than nine years, I've wanted to visit in Rotterdam—an extraordinary art studio and school for artists with a special story.

It finally happened.

Seeing the studios, meeting the artists, and experiencing the creative energy in person was everything I had hoped for, and more. Some places simply remind you why art matters.

In the past few months we have travelled, met inspiring people, seen extraordinary art. One of the highlights was a conference in the Netherlands with .
During that meeting we had the opportunity to see works by several of the artists we collaborate with at the gallery, at in Hengelo. It was inspiring to experience the works in new contexts and to feel how outsider art continues to create strong connections across countries, institutions, and people.
