🏰 VIDSTE DU?

🏰 DID YOU KNOW?
Nyborg Castle has been part of Danish history for more than eight centuries⏳
The castle is mentioned in written sources for the first time in 1193, while archaeological investigations indicate that the early castle complex, including its surrounding moat, was completed around 1209–1210📜
But the castle we see today is not quite the same castle that stood here in the Middle Ages. Over the centuries, it has been expanded, rebuilt and strengthened as the needs of its inhabitants , and the nature of warfare, changed🤔
From royal residence and political centre to fortress and, today, a place where we continue to explore the past, Nyborg Castle has had many lives🏰😊
