ارتبطت حضارة مصر بالبيئة الزارعية، وابتكر المصري القديم الآلات الزراعية وآلات الري، وعنى المصريون بتصوير العمليات الزراعية من حرث وري وحصاد وتخزين على جدران المعابد ومقابر فى مختلف العصور والحضارات التى مرت على أرض مصر.
- يوضح هذا الرسم الجدارى منظر للساقية يعكس بواقعية نابضة تلك البيئة الريفية المصرية ، حيث يجر الساقية ثوران أحدهما ملون أبيض والآخر بالأحمر وتظهر فتحات الماء فى الإطار الخارجى لعجلة الساقية نفذ المنظر تحت عريشة من أوارق العنب يقع أسفلها حوض الساقية أو مجرى الماء.
- اكتشف هذا الرسم فى 1960 القرن الماضى على جدران مقبرة بالورديان بالجبانة الغربية.
- Egyptian civilization was linked linked to the agricultural environment. The ancient Egyptians invented agricultural and irrigation machines, and they were concerned with depicting agricultural processes such as plowing, irrigation, harvesting, and storage on the walls of temples and tombs in the various eras and civilizations that passed through the land of Egypt.
- This mural depicts a waterwheel, vividly reflecting the Egyptian countryside. Two bulls, one white and the other red, pull the wheel, and water outlets are appear in the outer frame of the wheel. The scene is depicted under a grape pergola , below which lies the waterwheel's basin or channel.
This mural was discovered in 1960 on the walls of a tomb in Wardian, in the Western Cemetery.

✨ يستقبل المتحف اليوناني الروماني الزيارات طوال أيام عيد الأضحى المبارك . سوف تكون مواعيد العمل الرسمية من الساعة 9:00 صباحًا وحتى الساعة 5:00 مساءًا، علمًا بأن شباك بيع تذاكر الدخول سوف يغلق أبوابه في تمام الساعة 4:30 مساءً.

As part of its ongoing role in spreading archaeological and cultural awareness among students, the Public Relations Department at the Greek and Roman Museum welcomed a visiting group from Al Hayah International School. 📚👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓

The students were accompanied on an educational tour by one of the museum’s archaeologists, who introduced them to the museum’s remarkable collections and the rich historical legacy of the Greek and Roman periods in Egypt. The visit also highlighted the museum’s modern exhibition narrative, including advanced methods of display, conservation, and restoration.

استقبل المتحف المتحف اليوناني الروماني السادة المشاركين فى المؤتمر الدولي الرائد "مصر القديمة – التكنولوجيا الحديثة" (AENT3)، والذي نظمته مكتبة الإسكندرية (من خلال مركز دراسات الخطوط ومتحف الآثار) وذلك في الفترة من ( ١٧ إلي ٢٠ مايو ٢٠٢٦ )
بالتعاون مع كبرى الجامعات العالمية (هارفارد، إنديانا بلومنجتون، كاليفورنيا – بيركلي، نابولي "لورينتالي"، والأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا).

وكان في شرف أستقبال السادة المشاركين فى المؤتمر الدكتورة ولاء مصطفى مدير عام المتحف اليوناني الروماني ​
🔍​تضمن برنامج الزيارة جولة تفقدية وحوار علمي مثمر داخل قاعات العرض المتحفي حيث تعرف الضيوف على سيناريو العرض الحديث للمتحف

✨️تم استضافة السادة المشاركين بالمؤتمر فى قاعة كبار الزوار بالمتحف حيث تم إدارة حلقة نقاشية متميزة اتسمت بالعمق الثقافي تم خلالها طرح السادة الضيوف والعلماء الأجلاء العديد من التساؤلات والأفكار والرؤى المستقبلية نحو استخدام التكنولوجيا داخل المؤسسات المتحفيه

✨️​وخلال جولتهم للمتحف أعرب السادة الضيوف عن انبهارهم بأسلوب العرض الراقي والقطع الأثرية النادرة وطريقة العرض المتحفي بعد التطوير باعتبار المتحف معلماً تنويرياً وحضارياً بارزاً في مصر والعالم أجمع

🏛️ The Graeco-Roman Museum had the honor of welcoming the distinguished participants of the leading international conference “Ancient Egypt – New Technology” (AENT3), organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina through the Center for Calligraphy Studies and the Antiquities Museum, held from May 17 to 20, 2026, in collaboration with several prominent international universities, including Harvard University, Indiana University Bloomington, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Naples “L’Orientale,” and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

✨️ The conference participants were warmly received by Dr. Walaa Mostafa, Director General of the Graeco-Roman Museum.

🔍 The visit program included an insightful guided tour and a fruitful scientific dialogue inside the museum galleries, where the guests were introduced to the museum’s modern display scenario and its innovative museological presentation.

✨️ The conference participants were also hosted in the museum’s VIP Hall, where a distinguished discussion session was held in an atmosphere of rich cultural exchange. During the session, the esteemed guests and scholars shared valuable perspectives, ideas, and future visions regarding the integration of modern technology within museum institutions.

🏺 Throughout their tour, the guests expressed their admiration for the museum’s sophisticated display methods, rare artifacts, and the remarkable redevelopment of the museum, describing it as an outstanding cultural and enlightening landmark in Egypt and worldwide.

✨️ At the conclusion of the visit, the conference participants were keen to record words of appreciation and admiration in the museum’s VIP guestbook, expressing their gratitude for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, while also taking commemorative photographs to document these memorable moments.
