Some pieces are personal.
Not designed…
but felt.
If there’s something you’ve been holding,
something you couldn’t quite put into words…
you can write to me.
Not instructions.
Not references.
Just what stays with you.

I don’t recreate what you imagine.
I translate what I feel.
Each piece is one of a kind.
Each story, its own form.

Welcome to our year-long tag challenge—where scraps, stains, and textures meet.
Each month, Maha and I will create a tag inspired by a new theme.

April's prompt is: MARKS.

I didn’t plan this piece for marks…
but sometimes, the work finds its own direction.
What started as soft florals slowly turned into layers of marks, stitches, textures, tiny white traces…
each one leaving its own quiet presence.
The flowers are still there, but the marks gave them depth… and somewhere to settle.

I used ephemera from Barbara’s designs. Thank you sweetheart for the gorgeous gift 💕

Welcome to our year-long tag challenge—where scraps, stains, and textures meet. Each month, Maha and I will create a tag inspired by a new theme. March's prompt is: FLOWERS. Join us and share your entries. Swipe to see the full prompt list.

This piece started back in February for the Bold prompt,
when it was still a cloth tag that said Marvel.
Then I noticed MAR… and knew it had to wait for March.
I cut it, aged it, layered it over red floral patterned paper, added some hand stitching and a touch of dimension with small flowers.
It carries a vintage feel,
yet somehow fits this season perfectly
soft, warm, and full of love 🤍

This is what happened
when I stopped chasing perfect
and let it be authentic.
From quiet…
to a voice of my own.

Some finds are too good not to be shared.
I know how rare these Tim Holtz fabrics are.
I know their value.
But more than that, I know what it means when someone sees something beautiful and thinks, “This would bring her joy.”
This isn’t just fabric for future projects.
It’s generosity.
It’s creative bond.
Thank you, Maha 🤍

Welcome to our year-long tag challenge
where scraps, stains, and textures meet.
Each month, Maha and I will create a tag inspired by a new theme.
We’re starting in January with something beautifully weathered: Rust.

This journal wasn’t designed.
It was listened to.
A friend who loves black.
Nature that feels like home.
A dream of Trabzon, mist, trees, quiet streets, and sea air.
Words he repeats without thinking.
Songs that stay long after they end.
Every page holds a detail someone noticed.
Every tag carries a memory.
Nothing here is random, everything belongs.
Because the best gifts aren’t loud.
They’re personal.
They say: I feel you.

Chapter I, complete.
Chapter II begins.

The first journal’s cover tried to explain the journey.

This one doesn’t.
It doesn’t tell the story, it creates curiosity for it.
Unfinished stitching. Torn edges.
Because I choose progress over perfection.

I carry the first journal with gratitude shaped by time, movement, and lived experience.

And excited to see this new one filled this year with steps taken forward, experiences lived,
and lessons that left their mark.

Prompts: 09. Altered envelope & coffee mug-stains.
11. Leaves & envelope & owl.
19. Flip-out& pressed flowers gone wilde.
22. Postage stamp collage& cubby
mushrooms.

Four prompts, one piece!
see how many you can spot 😄
This little collage came together while playing with layers, leftovers, and happy accidents.
An altered envelope, coffee-stained paper, leaves, an owl, flip-outs, pressed flowers gone wild, postage stamps, and chubby mushrooms, all finding their way into one space.

That’s the magic of Dephemerember for me.
Letting prompts overlap, materials talk to each other, and seeing how many stories can live inside a single piece.

Couldn’t have done this without 🤍
Today’s piece felt like it was already planned in your swap 😄

Prompt: Snippets + Grandma's Buttons

Day 08,
This piece grew slowly…
from worn fabric, quiet stitches,
and buttons that feel like they’ve already lived a life before me.
Just a day ago, all of this fabric was clean and untouched, with every layer of dye and every step taken, it felt as though another year quietly settled in.
This is what junkjournaling feels like to me,
letting time move through ordinary things
until they begin to speak again.
