Entre sus objetivos destaca el descubrimiento de nuevos valores artísticos y el apoyo en su trayectoria con la producción de una obra específica para la exposición anual. No menos importante es difundir el arte contemporáneo, con ese objetivo la muestra se realiza en los espacios públicos de la ciudad, propiciando la vivencia de la experiencia artística a la ciudadanía de Benicàssim durante la sem
ana FIB. FIB Art destaca por producir proyectos artísticos de difícil ejecución en otros contextos, de manera que muchos son los artistas que han podido desarrollar ideas y proyectos que de otro modo nunca hubiesen podido ver la luz. FIB Art se ha consolidado como uno de los programas de ayuda al arte joven de referencia en España. Con una media de doscientos proyectos presentados en cada edición; a lo largo de sus once años de historia, ha mostrado los trabajos de más de setenta artistas que, de forma individual o en equipo, han podido ejecutar sus trabajos. Y aunque la participación de los españoles ha sido claramente mayoritaria, en muchas ediciones han participado artistas extranjeros, pues entre las propuestas recibidas, es frecuente encontrar proyectos (en torno al 20%) procedentes de diversas partes del mundo: Argentina, México, Chile, Gran Bretaña, Italia y Alemania principalmente. Se convocan ocho becas, una de ellas financiada por ART AIDS FOUNDATION y otra para el intervenir el Teatro Municipal de Benicàssim, sede de FIB Residence. Los artistas seleccionados dispondrán de la cantidad de 3.000 euros por proyecto. La próxima convocatoria se abre el día 21 de febrero de 2012 y se cierra el 9 de marzo de 2012.

FIB Art is the contemporary art exhibition FIB presents in Benicàssim. Among its goals is the discovery and presentation of new talents counting with FIB’s support in the production of a piece for its exhibition during the Festival week. Because the diffusion of contemporary art is another of its goals, the pieces are exhibited throughout public spaces within Benicàssim as well as the beaches to assure public access and enjoyment of a different aspect of the artistic experience the Festival offers during that week. FIB Art is best known for presenting pieces that are integrated within its surroundings and that, in different contexts, would be of difficult exhibition. For this reason, artists are able to develop ideas and projects that within more traditional contexts would have never been conceived. Nowadays FIB Art is considered a consolidated art program dedicated to the help and promotion of young talent which has become a reference in Spain. FIB Art counts with an average of two hundred works presented every year and which, along its 11 years of history, has ended up showing the proposals of over seventy artists who, individually or in groups, have become a part of this activity’s history. Although the majority of the participation is from Spanish artists, foreign artists have also become a part of FIB Art’s history and, among the proposals sent, it’s not uncommon to get proposals from artists from all over the world. International proposals usually make up about 20% of the presented projects and they’ve come from countries such as: Argentina, Mexico, Chile, UK, Italy and Germany. This year we’ll count with 8 grants, one of them financed by ART AIDS FOUNDATION and other one destined for an intervention a the Teatro Municipal de Benicàssim, FIB Residence's headquarters. The chosen artists will be able to count with 3.000 € per project. Call for proposals will begin February 21st 2012 and will be open until March 9th 2012, the submission deadline for FIB Art 2012.
