La BIBI

La BIBI Designing new ways to experience contemporary art The Ephemeral Exhibitions are held worldwide for a limited time.

We do not believe in the standard art gallery permanent location, an exhibition should be conceived without the gallery space limitations. An Ephemeral Exhibition represents the creative culmination of the artist; every detail is designed to create a unique universe.

Last month, LA BIBI welcomed Eunsae Lee () for a research and production residency. ☕️

Born in South Korea in 1987, Eunsae Lee is an artist whose work explores the visual and material conditions of contemporary life. Drawing from everyday scenes, mass-produced objects, processed materials, and the circulation of images, her paintings examine how we relate to the world around us. Through fragmented figures and shifting compositions, she creates spaces suspended between recognition and abstraction, where perception, consumption, and memory converge.

Lee holds a BFA in Painting from Hongik University and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts at Korea National University of Arts. She was recently selected for a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2025–2026) and has previously participated in the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (2023–2025), Incheon Art Platform (2021), MMCA Goyang Residency (2020), and SeMA Nanji Residency (2019).

PLASTIC METAMYTHOLOGY
A solo exhibition by Alexander Long () 🎂🛰️💀

“What happens when capitalism becomes mythology, and desire itself turns into a ritual object?”

Curated by Saskia Vallori (), "Plastic Metamythology" unfolds as a strange collision between suburban fantasy, military optics and consumer spectacle. Through hyperreal cake sculptures, infrared imagery and uncanny symbols of excess, Alexander Long explores how fear, control and desire are embedded within the aesthetics of contemporary life. 🍰📡🛒

SYNTHETIC FUTURE
A solo exhibition by Alejandro Monge () 🩶⚙️

“What does it mean to remain human in a world where the boundaries between body, technology and identity begin to dissolve?”

Curated by María García Marqués (.gmar) & Esther Almeda (), "Synthetic Future" immerses us in a silent, hyperconnected landscape where intimacy, isolation and artificial presence coexist. Monumental sculptures, fossil-like faces and suspended bodies transform the gallery into a space somewhere between archaeology and the future. 🪨📱🫀

Two hands, two voices, one continuous conversation.

✏️ For Maite y Manuel, drawing is the starting point of their practice. Images bleed from one page to another, leaving traces and ghosts that later become paintings.

“Double life.
Me and you.
Drawing a painting. Painting a drawing.

Together, apart.

Against interpretation.”

Opening on 21 May, “Las habitaciones invertidas” by Marion de Raucourt () will be on view at Castillo Hotel Son Vida (), Palma de Mallorca, through 31 August 2026.

The exhibition transforms the hotel lobby into a fantastical and baroque universe where Mediterranean folklore, theatricality, and the grotesque converge in a distorted reflection of our own absurdities.

Working with ceramics, molding, and collage, Marion de Raucourt creates sculptural characters and installations that evoke the worlds of performance and the circus, inhabiting a space where allegory takes precedence over function.

LA BIBI presents new ceramic sculptures by Fátima de Juan ()🦴🔥

Ancient, wild and unapologetically feminine - these hybrid creatures stomp forward with instinct, strength and their own untamed rhythm.

Like a dinosaur disguised as a boot, each piece becomes a symbol of fearless movement and primal energy 🦕🤎

No path was made for them.
They create it with every step.

We’re excited to announce our participation in Art Düsseldorf 2026 ()

📍 Booth H04, Main Sector
📅 April 17-19

Featuring works by An Wei (), Thilo Jenssen (), Paul Riedmüller () and Srger ().

Our presentation revolves around the idea of tension, approached from different perspectives: from unstable balances and structures at their limit, to the friction between the real and the digital, the energy of gesture, and the physical pressure of painting itself.

A booth where forces meet, collide, and remain in suspension.

Last month, we hosted Thilo Jenssen () as artist-in-residence 🛠️

Born in 1984 in Daun, Germany, he lives and works in Vienna.

During his stay, Jenssen pursued a materially driven exploration of painting through layers of lacquer, printing processes, and the gradual sedimentation of surfaces. Working through accumulation, pressure, and partial erasure, his compositions unfold as stratified fields in which gestures are at once inscribed and displaced.

Rather than converging toward resolved compositions, the residency functioned as a provisional framework for testing materials, recalibrating processes, and extending an already evolving line of inquiry.

🧷 This residency was developed in collaboration with Galería Reus ().
🧷 Supported by Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics ().
