HOLD AT ALL COSTS - BASTOGNE 🥀

▪️Adam H. Davis and Milford A. Sillars of the 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division are taking a break in Bastogne after being engaged in intense combat during the first stage of the Battle of the Bulge.

The men of the 28th Infantry Division did not receive enough credit for their bravery and sacrifice to keep the city of Bastogne in American hands.

We should never forget them 🇺🇸

I just received this wonderful US Army "Pillow Case" that Pvt Marvin Eugene sent to his parents when he was training at Camp Shelby, Mississipi.

During the Second World War, Marvin was attached to the 99th and 97th Evacuation Hospital. The 97th served in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe.

Thank you my friend for this wonderful gift.

I found this nice Japanese Good Luck Flag in an antique near Spartamburg, South Carolina.

The Good Luck Flag, was a traditional gift for Japanese servicemen deployed during the military campaigns of the Empire of Japan, though most notably during World War II. The flag given to a soldier was a national flag signed by friends and family, often with short messages wishing the soldier victory, safety, and good luck.

The flag has probably been brought back by an american soldier after his time in combat. Sadly, the flag was sold without any story behind ...
