Restitution publique : jeudi 24 septembre 2026 - 18h

La Fondation accueille en septembre le séminaire de la Chaire VULCA, autour du thème « Design et soin médical ». Portée par l’Institut Imagine, l’École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, et l’École Normale Supérieure, elle réunira chercheurs, designers, médecins et doctorant·es autour des liens entre capabilités, savoirs expérientiels et maladies génétiques. Pendant cinq jours, ateliers et dialogues interdisciplinaires se tiendront à la Fondation pour mettre en lumière les contributions du design et de la recherche-création aux enjeux actuels du soin.

DESIGN & MEDICAL CARE
Public presentation: Thursday, September 24, 2026 - 6pm

In September, the Fondation will host the VULCA Chair seminar on the theme of “Design and Medical Care.” Led by the Imagine Institute, the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, and the École Normale Supérieure, the seminar will bring together researchers, designers, physicians, and PhD candidates to explore the relationships between capabilities, experiential knowledge, and genetic diseases.
Over the course of five days, workshops and interdisciplinary discussions will take place at the Fondation, highlighting the contributions of design and research-creation to contemporary healthcare challenges.

Nouveau ! Café Céramique - 23 septembre

Pour la rentrée, la Fondation lance un nouvel atelier d’initiation en partenariat avec le café céramique Totem de Saintes.

Au sein de l’atelier Céramique de la Fondation, ces sessions de peinture sur céramique pour petits (dès 5 ans) et grands invitent à vivre un moment de création convivial. Après avoir sélectionné une pièce en faïence biscuitée, les participant.es pourront découvrir plusieurs techniques de décoration et personnaliser leur pièce. Les objets réalisés seront ensuite émaillés et recuits, avant d’être remis aux participants.

Un mercredi par mois de 9h30 à 12h, ou de 13h30 à 16h

Totem Atelier de Céramique

New! Ceramic Café
To mark the start of the new season, the Fondation is launching a new introductory workshop in partnership with Totem, the ceramic café based in Saintes.

Held in the Fondation’s Ceramics Studio, these ceramic painting sessions for children (from age 5) and adults offer a friendly and creative experience. After selecting a bisque-fired earthenware piece, participants will discover a range of decorating techniques and personalize their chosen object. The finished pieces will then be glazed and fired again before being returned to participants.

One Wednesday per month from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, or from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm
Next session : September 23; 2026
€25 to €60, depending on the piece selected.

Journées du Patrimoine à la Fondation - Table ronde le 19 septembre 2026, 18h

À l’occasion des Journées Européennes du Patrimoine et du Matrimoine, la Fondation vous invite à la table ronde « Alliances vivantes : construire un imaginaire écologique ».
Cette rencontre explorera la manière dont les artistes, par la narration, réinventent notre rapport au monde et au vivant.

Le Singe et l’Argile

Cette exposition aborde une question centrale dans les débats écologiques contemporains : peut-on créer avec des entités non humaines ?

Réunissant 9 artistes internationaux dans une scénographie évoquant la forêt, l’exposition fait dialoguer productions naturelles, humaines et technologiques pour esquisser de nouvelles formes d’alliance avec le vivant. De la réparation à la fiction spéculative, en passant par la communication inter-espèces et la coproduction, chaque œuvre interroge la place de l’humain dans un monde « plus qu’humain ».

The Monkey and the Clay

This exhibition explores a central question in contemporary ecological debates: can we create with non-human entities?

Bringing together 9 international artists in a forest-like scenography, the exhibition creates a dialogue between natural, human, and technological productions to imagine new forms of alliance with the living world. From repair to speculative fiction, and from interspecies communication to co-production, each work questions the place of the human in a “more-than-human” world.

The Fondation d’entreprise Martell is launching a new call for projects to host residents in Cognac throughout 2026 and 2027 in the fields of research and experimentation, production, and writing/curatorial practice.
Designers, artists, architects, curators, writers, and researchers in the humanities and social sciences whose work engages with the major challenges of our era are invited to apply.

L’œuvre de Lin May Saeed témoigne d’un engagement de longue date pour la défense des droits des animaux.
Sous forme de fables, ses sculptures et reliefs imaginent des actes de bienveillance ordinaires et une coexistence pacifique entre humains et animaux.
Une pratique à la fois narrative, politique et sensible.

Dans cet espace conçu par les designers BehaghelFoiny, petits et grands sont invités à se glisser dans la peau d’un microscopiste pour explorer un monde infiniment petit, habituellement invisible, pourtant essentiel à l’équilibre du vivant. Un espace pour découvrir en s’amusant, créer et jouer, mais aussi l’occasion de prendre le temps pour se relaxer dans le grand bleu...Jeux, vidéos et sélection d’ouvrages complètent l’expérience pour découvrir de façon ludique les secrets du monde marin.

In this space designed by the BehaghelFoiny designers, children and adults alike are invited to step into the shoes of a microscopist and explore an infinitely small world, usually invisible, yet essential to the balance of life. A space to discover through play, create and have fun, but also a chance to take time to relax in the deep blue... Games, videos and a selection of books complete the experience, offering a fun way to discover the secrets of the marine world.
