Showing up to Art Dubai this year felt, at first, like a wager. The weeks preceding it had been heavy, and the fair’s 20th anniversary only added to the significance of being there.

Our solo presentation of Wafa Al Falahi drew exactly the kind of attention that matters: sustained, curious, and genuinely invested. The conversations that gathered around her new body of work, developed with in the months leading to the fair, were as layered as the work itself. For many, it was a first encounter with her practice, and one that clearly left its mark.

What made this edition feel so alive was not only what we brought to it, but everything that met us there: collectors who engaged with generosity, friendships rekindled and new ones forged, and an art community whose warmth and resilience reminded us of why this place and its cultural ecosystem are truly incomparable.

Thank you to the collectors who have supported Wafa’s work and will welcome it into their homes. Hunna Art exists because of your trust. Thank you to every visitor who paused, exchanged with us, and carried something of the work with them. Thank you to Art Dubai Director, Dunja Gottweis, and Executive Director-Curatorial, Alexie Glass-Kantor, and the entire team for crafting an edition that felt intimate and considered, precisely the format this moment called for.

Wafa Al Falahi
Art Dubai 2026

For Art Dubai 2026, Hunna Art presents a solo presentation by Emirati multidisciplinary artist Wafa Al Falahi ( sorbet), whose practice unfolds at the intersection of painting, sculpture, and drawing.

Conceived as an immersive environment, the booth functions as a spatial journal; a unified cosmology mapping cycles of birth, life, death, and afterlife through hallucinatory landscapes and hybrid beings suspended in a liminal terrain of emergence and erosion.

Come see us booth B11 and DM us for more information.

Wafa AlFalahi at Art Dubai 2026

Carcass depicts the remains of a bird after its feathers have been removed. Figures emerge out of one another and submerge as a single body. The form feels both exposed and unresolved, as if the surface has been stripped back to reveal something more internal, more unstable. Without its feathers, the bird loses its clarity and begins to blur, its body no longer defined by outline but by fragments that fold into each other. The work lingers in this suspended condition, where decay becomes a kind of reformation, and the body, even in its undoing, continues to generate new forms.

Wafa Al Falahi at Art Dubai 2026

This series of works follows the bird as a vessel of becoming — dispersing, gathering, witnessing, and calling forms into existence. In ‘Ascend’, a body separates into many, each figure carrying the memory of where it came from. ‘Murmur’ holds the tension between singularity and dissolution, as forms blur into a shared pull with no clear center. ‘Prophecy ‘arrests the moment before meaning is made, four birds held in quiet orientation toward a larger presence, their stillness more charged than any movement could be. In ‘Final Form’, figures converge in the night sky to outline something not yet born, a body summoned rather than constructed.
